Global Indoctrination (Semi-vanity?)
me. | n/a | Me

(I'm semi-new here, and I'm not exactly sure what counts as a vanity, so this is labeled just in case. If someone could help clear this up, thanks.)

Why is "global warming" allowed to infiltrate school science? Why, out of all the crackpot enviromentalist theories circulating today, did they choose global warming? Yes, Al Gore made a movie about it, but who decided that movies equal fact?

It's a little scary- kids have to learn the truth from their parents or not learn it at all. For example, this passage is taken from an 8th-grade textbook in my school district:

Energy and the environment: Hydrogen-powered cars Not all combustion reactions produce carbon dioxide. For example, when hydrogen gas is burned in oxygen, water is the only product: (diagram of equation) Perhaps in the future, some of our cars will run by this reaction. In fact, automobile manufacturers are developing hydrogen-powered cars right now using a technology called “fuel cells.” • How would hydrogen-powered cars impact global warming? • Do some Internet research to find out about fuel cells and hydrogen powered cars.

Another example is children's books on summer reading lists. One such book, "The Fire Bug Connection," features an "eco-murder" that suggests that global warming is an established fact, and it might be killing rare firebugs. The "murderer" isn't actually global warming, but the book slips in several references to fool kids into thinking it's real.

Is nayone else with me on this? I don't have a problem with evironmentalists having a theory, but they shouldn't be presenting it to children as cold, hard fact.

and you’ll get it fairly quickly.

It’s not about environment, or science, it’s about global socialism.

Why is "global warming" allowed to infiltrate school science?

Because the schools are the liberals' proxy for delivering their communist propaganda and indoctrinating you to believe what they tell you. They make sure you can follow their directions, so you can't argue with them. They want people who blindly take orders, not people who think for themselves. As a veteran of a twelve-year barrage of socialist propaganda (a.k.a. a high school graduate), take my word for it.

In my AP biology review book and in just about every science textbook I’ve come across I’ve read some bullcrap about global warming and carbon emissions from cars trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
