We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail
Hope your weekend was enjoyable and productive, and you're ready for the week ahead!
Let's hope the news stories which reflect in some measure our national interests move away from Paris What's-her-name!
Thanks for starting the thread.
Foist?
The President is going to the Senate tomorrow to urge a second try at the comprehensive "immigration" bill. UGH!
Summer is settling in very quickly.
I am out of school, but my two youngest have one more day left. They are excited...
I heard President Bush vows to get the amnesty bill signed.
Let's see... the Democrats blame him for the failure of the last bill, and the American public responded overwhelmingly that they don't want it, I am hard pressed to see why he doesn't see these things.
Do these politicians not get it any more?
The system is already brokem, yet these politicians even want to throw more gasoline on this out of control fire?
Mark Levine had a great bit on Friday how this all started with Teddy Kennedy screwing up the immigration reform back in 1965.
'Undocumented Americans' Mark Steyn
NBC to give Gore 75 hours of free air time for his sham GW concert
Yes, that was in my stack til I saw you’d posted it!
The Yankees have won 6 in a row?!
I did a double take on the way home from work yesterday. I saw a New York Yankee flag flying on somebody's flag pole.
A first for me.
Good Morning Molly. Thanks for getting us started this morning.
I have some gardening to finish up today, and a Political BBQ to attend in DM tonite, which will require me to be on the road around 3:30
I’ve never seen the Sopranos. It appears it is on of those “Who Shot JR” endings. F&F’s is really worked up about it.
I’m heading out to the garden to survey yesterday’s handiwork. A day of gardening has my allergies flaring. I took some extra meds yesterday, but I’m recognizing the congested cough associated with the mold allergy. (none the less I’m headed outside to subject myself to more!)
I've never watched the Sopranos either.
I have watched L & O, and my husband is now addicted to it and he says "Jack McCoy" is going to take "Arthur Branch's" place as DA now that Fred is gone. My husband may be teasing me, tho...not sure!
Morning, Molly; thanks for the start and the links! I love the “undocumented Americans” one: it is so dead on.
June 4, 2007 LOOK WHOS SUPPORTING OBAMA
Yesterday, Senator Barack Obama became the first presidential contender to launch a religious outreach website, faith.barackobama.com. Commenting on it today is Catholic League president Bill Donohue:
On Sen. Obamas new website, he lists the testimonials of three controversial clergymen:
Rev. Wright was scheduled to give the invocation at the forum of Obamas presidential announcement on February 10, but the night before the event Obama rescinded the bid: the Illinois senator knew that his spiritual advisor was so divisive that he would cloud the ceremonies. The black liberation theologian has a record of giving racially inflammatory sermons and has even said that Zionism has an element of white racism. He also blamed the attacks of 9/11 on American foreign policy.
Rev. Smith was honored by the notoriously violent Black Panther Party of Oakland in 1975, and in 1990 was given a community award by the Nation of Islam, an anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic and anti-gay group.
Rev. Pfleger has allowed Nation of Islam chief Louis Farrakhan to preach in his church; he has been arrested for defacing billboards; he has paid prostitutes to worship at his church; and only last week he staged an anti-gun rally in front of a gun store where he exhorted the crowd to hunt down the owner like a rat and snuff him.
While Obama is not responsible for the record of these three clergymen, he is responsible for giving them the opportunity to prominently display their testimonials on his religious outreach website. If these are the kinds of clergymen he admires, perhaps its best he shut down his new website and start all over again. It will take more than God talk to get Obama out of this jam.
Good morning.
As a fan of the Soprano’s I opt to choose that the ending is that Tony survives and goes on to live another day and his days of being a DOM is over, no one to carry on for the mob family, his son can’t nor his daughter, so the Soprano mob ends there with Tony. And he goes out and gets a real job as CEO of a major corporation....:)
Yep, as you can see, I am still on my ‘mad’ horse, it is so childish of how they operate, for instance, we are helping a family with nine—that is 9—kids and they can not get a place to live, everything they owned was blown away. Fema trailers are standing vacant all over the place down here and, folks from all over the nation came down and faked it and got trailers, they can’t get one. True, I don’t know the whole story but I know enough that it hacks me off. Our church is helping them, a truly Christian family, one member took them his camper trailer, that gave them some protection from the weather when it comes in, they still sleep in tents. If you haven’t noticed, I AM MAD!!!!
Today, expected 100 degrees, even we down here consider that kinda hot. NO, not global warming, just a Mississippi summer, this is normal, still hot as all get out but still normal.
Can I say that I am lonely?? The kids still in Fla and miss my Allie, JT,D and SIL. Speaking of JT he is getting better in his ‘active’ everyday life, he is excepting us I guess. My instant grandson, we are so blessed. It is just the little things he does like learning to let go of the side of the pool and float around in his little life vest, chanseing the chichens clucking and crowing, trying to ride the German Sheppard, just a 110% little boy and this old man misses him.
Got to run into town to WallMart and get some roses, they have marked them down to 4.19 each and I need 5 more. When I get back got to cut the back yard with the tractor and feed my garden. I am using that liquid chicken poop on them and they are realy growing, chicken stuff I have plenty of.
Just wanted to check in and tell you good morning and to me, every morning is good, I am still here.
Have a good day!
Toby
NOW I can start my day, thanks!
Good morning, Toby!
Good morning, you OK today?
