Pink said to me recently, we've come a long way. So that set me reminiscing...
Who among us can forget that day in January when Girlene asked to be added to the Haditha Marine Ping List?
Or when lilycicero wondered what "ping" and "BTTT" meant (but hoped they were crude)?
Or when pinkpanther111 showed up and helped us find biographical material, or when she spread the word about the defense fund here and here?
All that got me thinking about some of our "firsts".
Like the first defense fund thread.
And the first posts by Darryl, Theresa (on our totally fun "A Haditha Marine Father Has a Question for Alan Colmes" thread), and Mrs W.
So I agree with pink (want to see her first post ever?), we have come a long way. And it's about time we said so! Also, with the SSgt Wuterich hearing coming up, I figured we could use a thread to just hang out when nothing else is happening. It beats FRmail--which sometimes gets a little hard to follow.
So here's to us and to seeing an end to this job we started!
I have one more request before I hit the road. Can you please post this picture in the green room for me (and Jaz)?

DelaCruz just testified for the prosecution... basically told story of seeing Wuterich shoot Iraqis at cab from about twenty meters away... said he then walked up to them a shot eight rounds into dead men... then Wuterich approached and shot them again point blank...
perhaps new... did you ever hear of testimony that car was already stopped and men out of car when IED went off... already standing... some of them... with hands on top of head at that time? no mention of pissing on dead Iraqis....
reitierated lying to NCIS and Army investigator... said he discussed lies with Wuterich said it was his idea to protect squad said Wuterich concurred... told him to go for it...
on break now... strong anticipation of cross... getting interesting... will send dispatch at lunch...

Should be an eventful afternoon! The attorneys have been prepping for this for a long time.
I would love to be sitting in on that cross but I’ll bet even reading about it will be a very enlightening event.
