He hides, but craves attention. He is prurient and prudish, powerful and paranoid, an icon of the right who seems obsessed with making Hillary Clinton our next president. And he has America caught in the grip of his contradictions.

I heard Matt Drudge call Hillary Clinton a squirrelly bitch last Sunday night. If that means he's trying to make her President, I'm confused.
Matt is really hard to guage due to his rampant use of sarcasm.
There was a study a couple of years back that said Drudge is slightly left-of-center, but appears right due to the extreme left-wing tilt of the rest of the media.
The study was based upon the news presented on his website. Since his website is mostly based on links to other news sites, it would be deduced as left of center.
The study did not involve Drudge as a man and his political leanings.
Creepy, paranoid 7 page story on Drudge calling him strange and paranoid.
Weird. Is the author DNCish?
Per a conversation we’ve talked about before, check out page 7 paragraph 6.
I listen to his radio show quite often, although I usually can’t hack it for too long.
Ocassionally, he says something intelligent or worthwhile or has a worthwhile guest (eg, Ann Coulter). Most of the time, he is unbearably stupid, illogical or just plain weird. He spends ridiculous amounts of time on some entertainment/celebrity story, pretending to be disgusted with how the media is fixated on entertainment/celebrity stories.
He vacillates between conservative and liberal viewpoints and does not seem to have any particular guiding principle other than rants against big media companies and government invasion of privacy.
Although it may seem trite, he also plays some of the weirdest bumper music. I am pretty eclectic in musical taste, but some of his choices seem only designed to impress listeners as to how sophisticated he is.
Finally, he has two habits in conducting his show that are atrocious: He plays the same sound bites over and over and over again as if they get more interesting with repetition. I think it’s just because he doesn’t have anything to say and he needs to fill three hours. He also uses some of the most obnoxious sound effects, such as a particularly derisive laugh track, also over and over and over again.
I guess I should appreciate the fact that he does help get some conservative views out there, but the show itself is really bad.
I miss Drudge.
I don’t seen any traces of his personality on the Drudge Report any more.
