Anyone have an inside guess if “Torchwood” will be uncut?
(I think it’s rated “R” in the UK)

Well I did see Torchwood and I did hear some foul language.. So I don’t think that BBC America is cut anything out of it.

Hard to say. I know they edited "Life On Mars" a fair bit for nudity and language.

I like 4400. Yesterdays episode sets up a strong ending for this season with a usual cliffhanger, I am sure. The attraction of the show is in strong characters and actors’ performances, and an interesting dilemma - who is a normal person should root for - a Homo Improved or the old Homo Sapience? What is the price of an improved future? The idea is far from being new, but is deep enough to be explored again and again. 4400 is a good attempt (IMHO of course)

BBC America did edit the profanity on the 1st episodoe of Torchwood. The real test of editing comes in the next episode of Torchwood, “Day One”. There is an X-rated sex scene in a bar bathroom and the security guard watches it on camera, while wanking. I doubt BBC America will allow these scenes to be aired.

After the fantastic “Human Nature” saga, a Who fan might wonder how can the BBC top that. Well, the next episode, “Blink” does that. Steven Moffat is a gifted writer. He can write comedy (Coupling), horror (Jekyll), and sci-fi (Doctor Who). Sure, there is a scene taken right out of “Back To The Future 2”, but “Back To The Future” arguably copied somes concepts from Who. I give “Blink” a grade of A+.
