The Outlaws rocked. Now Henry Paul is the only frontman left from the original band. Billy Jones, F. O”Keefe and now Hughie are all deceased. One of the best shows I ever saw when I was in college , Outlaws and Dixie Dregs across the bay in Plattsburg NY. Hugie was a good guy, saw them at Foxwoods last year with Henry Paul front row seats. Not sure what happens withthe Band now unless Henry Paul decides to re-unite again. But touring as the O’Laws without Hughie would be difficult.

“That was Marshall Tucker you poser.”

As for my “Early Senior Moment” goof...you are absolutely correct.

I flubbed that totally.

I missed this post and only found out about it when I was on the Outlaws website this evening. :-(

I am deeply saddened by the news, I was at an Outlaws concert this July and they played great, brought back memories from my youth.

The event was not advertised and the proceeds went to Fidelco. (Guide dog foundation)

There was only about 300 people in attendance but Hughie seemed to be enjoying himself as did the rest of the Band.
He joked about it like having a concert in your own backyard.

I am posting some photos from the concert, he invited the children in attendance to join the group on stage and closed things out with Green Grass and High Tides.

A piece of me is gone somehow.

Goodbye Hughie, hope to meet you again someday.

Great post #1CTYankee - thanks for sharing those pics.

Hughie supported so many great causes. I enjoyed reading the Hughie stories on the outlaws forum - he reached out to alot of folks through his music and big heart.

As did I, thankfully he will live on in our hearts and in song.

Does anyone know this person who claims to own Hughie’s music?
