Cheerleaders who flaunt their wares in front of visiting teams will be banned by the NFL, a news report indicated on Monday. The problem has become cataclysmic.

The NFL has sent a memo out to all major league teams, according to CBS NFL analyst Charlie Casserly.

Basically, home teams are not permitted to tell their cheerleaders to warm up, stretch, or otherwise do anything in front of the visiting team's bench that might distract the players before the game.

Cheerleaders are going to be the next target of the feminazi-american taliban alliance.

So much for home-field advantage.

Not called the “No Fun League” for nothing. The NFL is getting as nanny-state authoritarian over its teams as the federal government is — the owners needs to step in and rein in the commissioner’s office a little bit.

Why would I want to watch a sporting event that didn’t have cheerleaders??

Steeler fans manage just fine without the daylight strippers and their “routines.”

Save if for the fans. The players are on the clock.

The pre-game activities by the home team cheerleaders in front of the opposing team caused some teams to complain that their players were distracted from paying attention to coach’s instructions and the like...

Ok, so, get this - A dude who gets paid 1-2 mil a year for playing 15 football games (90k a game), can’t help but watch some cheerleader who may be making as little as $40 a game. Little math here - every home team should immediately raise the salaries of their cheerleaders to $200 a game, then hire 450 of them, of every shape and description, because it’s cheaper than one more bench sitter, and apparently, effective enough to spark complaints.

PS: Even the feminists know better than to attack football.

Yes, the NFL is a private entity, but the level of control they are trying to extend over the teams is pretty oppressive. Football is supposed to be entertainment, but the NFL league offices are doing everything they can to crush any type of individuality out of teams and players, and it's just sad.

These girls would NEVER be a distraction to the visiting team. :-)

The Redskin cheerleaders were working out at my gym this past summer. I must be getting old because I thought they were high schoolers. They looked like they were preparing for a musical or preparing to be strippers.
