Geraldo plays tape of Rita talking to Bain - [”Rita’s tape”]
Bain is heard saying “Nadine saw the tape” - “they want to talk to you” - “come down” - doesn’t want to talk on the phone
Bain retort: says that ‘Rita never checked with the nannies they never said that’’ “she calls herself an investigative journalist” and didn’t even talk to the nannies
Geraldo tells Bain not to [play games]
Don Clark speaks up and says that he, also, spoke to Nadine and Nadine also told him that the tape existed
Bain retort: says well, Rita didn’t do ‘due diligence’
Geraldo asks Clark [several times/ways], do you swear? did Nadine really say that?
Clark - yes
(Bain sweating lolololol)
Jeanine points out to Bain that she just heard the tape where he clearly claimed that Nadine said to him that she saw the tapes
[discussion changes to HKS/drugs/KE/Kapoor, et al]
Geraldo - Lincoln may be part of this investigation
Bain - I’m not in hiding, I’ve been there, making myself available, unlike Rita Cosby, before we made the sting with Crosby I presented my tapes. I am here in front of you, where’s Rita?
Geraldo: [rita invited couldn’t make it]
Bain - I don’t buy that. My lawyer told me I could come on
Geraldo: When we come back there’s a Question I have for you - we heard you say on the tape the nannies told you that they saw ANS watching a sex tape - that’s what you told Rita on the phone - is that tape legitimate, is it doctored? [ be right back ]

Bain: Listen to me because if I just give an answer people will say whatever they want - Rita has, a very long time before Rita - I came forward with my tapes before the sting operation took place before I went and got Rita and took her back to the place. There are more tapes implicating Rita Cosby.
Geraldo asks again if it’s him on rita’s tape.
Bain: I think [Rita’s] tape is doctored. Will I Swear? I don’t swear because of my religion - I affirm that I did not say “yes” to That Woman ! she told me that Don Clark was her source for that book! Don Clark is here saying he’s not the source so That Woman is proven to be a consummate liar! She said her friend “Tom” was a publisher - when I checked I found out it was his fiance
Don Clark - I wanna get done with this tape - I’m nobody’s source, I’m trying to do my job
Geraldo - [to Clark] did you hear the nannies talk about the tape, yes or no?
Don Clark - yes!! now can we go back to the drugs??
Craig - Bain, have you asked other journalists for money??
Bain - the only conversations is in terms of meetings - if you wanna come to the Bahamas and meet there is “expenses”, the hotel is expensive, there are expenses for the nannies, everytime they have to meet with them there are expenses...
Geraldo - did you try to shake down Rita?
Bain: No I didn’t try to shake down Rita - she is talking -I am doing very little talking
Geraldo: You’re saying your tapes are true and saying ALL of hers are doctored?
Bain: Rita will do anything to clear her name and she didn’t check her sources

Geraldo - as we’ve investigated, week after week, month after month, others said the relationship was controlling, unhealthy, disturbing

Craig: says he heard when **he talked to the nannies** about a black bag - fifty to 100 pill bottles - also small bottle, liquid methadone in bedside table

Geraldo - why is it FL auth never took the kind of action Calif took yesterday?
Perper - ask FL authorities! My understanding prescriptions and doctors are from Calif so legal would be Calif auth - Calif who would be interested
Geraldo - she died in your state!!
Perper - because those are issues which address the medical practices of prescribing in Calif - Fl had no authority over those physicians
Mark Geragos - Yes They should have investigated before Calif did - clearly Calif has primary jurisdiction but the ultimate act, death, happened in their jurisdiction
Perper: true, death happened here and that’s why we performed the autopsy and investigation - legal points tht you’d have to qualify(?) to the FL authorities
Mark Geragos: the problem is if you have doctors prescribing to people...a creative AG could find a way to attach liability...Why are they doing an autopsy to determine rx drug overdose if they’re not going to do
anything about it, if it is??
Perper: No evidence of criminal activities - who would justify that - in this case the Florida licensed doctor (?) who prescribed med which were used
Geraldo: it’s an accident, but there were 11 bottles at her bed? She overdoses from a drug combination, somebody was giving it to her, handed it to her is that person not under some suspicion of at least negligent or reckless contact ?
Perper - My investigation revealed accidental death. If there are other issues where some one sould be sued for improper medical care,
Ryan Smith - I don’t think he understands that it happened there. KE travels with them, writes prescriptions - to say there is no criminality is just naive
Perper - I didn’t say it was not criminality - we did the autopsy - the legal branch should decide what they should do
Don Clark - clearly evidence of a black bag of drugs in somone elses name.. this woman wasn’t capable of giving shots or taking medications by herself - it’s ludicrious
Paul Peressi - I talked to AG Brown - I called him - I felt the interview that took place between Bain and nannies would be helpful to the investigation - I sent that interview to him and explained to him some of the things on that tape - [Geraldo: how did Brown respond?] He was very receptive and I’m not going to say shocked, but he wanted that tape right away. I pointed out that on the tape HKS forged checks, according to nannies, and on the tape the nannies make the point that HKs managed the drugs, made sure she was taking drugs, but wasn’t too concerned about her nourishment and that’s what had made me concerned
Don Clark - these drugs are really pinnacle...we can’t look at this and say this was all an accident - two people died under similar circumstances. We got Howard saying he gave her the drugs, her caretaker, this doesn’t make sense

Again, this is just me typing wildly during a live show, so if some statement is not totally complete, I apologize in advance but I did try hard to get what I could:

Bain - never had any contact - never met the guy. I am very suspicious of HKS - no way ! would Lincoln Bain take HKS’s side in all this - don’t think because we spread the truth about Rita Cosby we don’t want the truth from this

God took my mom last week at age 90 after a brief illness but as of yesterday, I have a new grandson, Sean Bryant.
My prayers will be for Virgie and Dannielynn this morning. She has lost a daughter and a grandson and is being denied the love of Dannielynn.

Thank you for this transcription - did not see Geraldo - this is very helpful. Bain on Greta appears to show Rita totally in the wrong and in deep trouble. This interview appears to show Bain for what he is.....another one after the money. But the tape of Rita (who kept saying, “you know what I mean” so much it made me a bit nauseated.....) talking with him that Greta replayed this week just seemed to implicate Rita in planning deceptions in future investigations....didn’t it? I would like the opinion of others on Rita’s situation.
