Im still stunned how much the cost of the TVs have dropped over the last three months. (and paying for it now..*sniff sniff*)Most likely they are standard TV's. When they stop transmitting non-HD signals, they will stop working, without a converter. And this will happen in about a year.

The real sales won’t hit till the day after Thanksgiving at most places. Although for an HD DVD player < $100 I don’t think you’ll beat that this year. It was $500 last year and runs like $299 at most places still for Toshiba.
