Is It Possible To Sue Our President and Congress About Deporting Illegals (Vanity)?

Posted on 12/08/2007 5:47:10 AM PST by proudofthesouth

Is it possible to sue both President Bush and Congress over illegals?

This is something I've been wondering about for a long, long time.

I know there are FReepers who are legal and constitutional scholars and experts on this matter.

Is it or would it be possible to get some sort of class action lawsuit going against President Bush and Congress to get them to inforce our immigration laws and to deport ALL illegals?

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: aliens; congress; government; illegal; immigrantlist; no; president
Thanks, I'm looking forward to reading all of the responses to this post.

I think you must first pass a Constitutional Amendment. Good luck with that.

Frankly, I'm more interested in suing the ACLU--not over illegal immigration, but for their unwarranted intrusiveness into society. Put them on defense for a change.

Well, first you would have to show damages.

I bet you think that's funny? ;^)

If one were to check our our freedom loving forefathers, I believe their is an sentence that states that American citizens can redress the government for grievances. I understand that todays marxist lawyers have another interpretation however.

Americans can petition their government for redress of grievances. A petition is not exactly an enforceable suit.

Interesting that illegal aliens can sue our government and win, BUT citizens have no recourse and are not permitted to sue the government.

Probably not otherwise it would have been done by now. Changing the Constitution to mandate enforcement is the only thing that’ll make this government understand but even then they’ll find ways to get around it.

The only thing that will stop our politicians from destroying our country and tramping (no - STOMPING !) on the Constitution is anarchy and I don’t see that happening cause the schools and MSM are brainwashing our children. The WWII and baby boomer generations (of which I was born at the tail end of) are dying off. IMO thats what the enemies WITHIN our government are waiting for. By then the next generations will have been completely brainwashed.

That's the plan I think even though it's really about the bottom line, nothing else. If the population or the country suffers that's the cost of doing business. They apparently in government don't believe we're capable or clever enough to grow and maintain a strong economy other than by importing massive numbers of people. They've never heard of mechanization or increased use of technology to supplement warm, cheap bodies and so as a result in 50 years we'll be nothing but a polyglot of 400+ million and growing.

The best I can offer is something going back to law school about 20 years ago. There is a procedure called a Writ of Mandamus. I believe Mandamus is from the same latin root for mandate or mandatory. My recollection is that it is the vehicle used to ask a court to order an agency of government to perform what it is legally obligated to perform. This question comes to my mind and I keep thinking back to that writ and dreaming about a lawsuit entitled

“We the People of the United States of America

vs.

The President, ICE, DOJ, FBI and State and Local LE”

By way of complaint, Plaintiffs demand that defendants do their freakin’ job!!!!

Its all about greed and power. More people - (illegals) means more votes and money for those in power.

I’m beginning to think that there will be very few - if any - politicans that make it into Heaven.
