I don’t know about the “strange object” detail you reference, but the jpeg image at the URL you give shows unmistakeble evidence of erosion on the outcroppings shown “below” (in the screen sense) the object. Look at (in “high res” mode) the outcroppings below the horizontal center-line of the image.

The pyramid appears to be a divot. The eye cannot discern something that goes in or out easily.
Hold a halloween mask up and look at the inside, it’ll look like a 3-D representation pointing OUT.
