Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK! Magazine that she is pregnant. Oh. My. God.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.

I must admit that at first I thought you must be mistaken. Surely all those reports we’ve heard for years on the news and schools would have mentioned that they included infant mortality. I looked into it and... wow, you’re right. If you throw out infant mortality, then everything changes. Life expectancy is still higher now, but not by near as much as the common “die at 30” like we’ve heard for years.

Just a correction, the show’s on Nickelodeon......

I wonder how long for now though? I don’t see “Teen Nick” keeping this going since they won’t be able to do anymore new episodes for a while, let alone what will happen to the ratings once this get’s out to the parents who pay attention to what their kids watch and make this show off limits because of Little Miss Spears fauxpaux, to say nothing about the loss of merchandising from the show.

I’m wondering how they are going to end it now.........

For some reason there is a small group of people that bash educated parents who have children in their 30s.

On the whole, it is better for society to have more established parents. I cannot believe some think that being an educated, reasonable, established, and loving parent in their 30s is not a good thing.

Agree. I live several doors down from a Catholic organization that takes in pregnant girls. Lots of controversy when it started in the neighborhood...but honestly, I see these girls trying to take care of their baby and the community helps them start out in an apartment of their own. The funny thing is, and I don’t know why I find it funny, but the fire department is there on a regular basis due to girls going into labor. It’s the unmistakenly sounding of the big engines going up the street that is a dead giveaway....when I open up the door, there is a fire engine, an ambulance and a police cruiser bringing another precious child into the world.
