That’s a matter of opinion.
He governed pretty effectively as a conservative, hobbled in a liberal state.
Mo might be short for momentum; but it is also used in referencing ‘Mo Magic’ which is Voodoo.
The Bush reference has nothing to do with Huckabee being referenced several times over the past few days with words associated with Black Magic.
I guess if you consider pro abortion and a half dozen other liberal stances conservative he looks good. Seems a tad left of center to me. But hey knock yourself out, some one has to be on the Ted Kennedy wing of the republican party, Mitt and Huckabee are as good as any one else.
That was then, this is now.
Thanks, I’m breaking in a new (refurb) computer and the dreaded blue screen of death ate my last. Seven paragraphs lost in the ether. I thought Vista was stable? Always a few teething problems.
Never put Microsoft and stable in the same paragraph!
More of your opinion, not necessarily shared by everyone.
If he was so liberal , why aren’t the liberal rags in his state endorsing him?? They know him and recognize the threat to their liberal agendas.
Period. End of story.
I don’t want either of them, but of the two, Romney has more going for him. I can’t see the appeal of Huckabee. Huckabee supporters, tell me why you support him. What am I missing? Aren’t you put off by his liberal attitude toward illegal aliens?
Really, how many opinions can one man change in such a short period of time and not cause a reasonable person to question the sincerity of the “new” beliefs?!
In my mind it is self refuting. It was not a short period of time in many instances, he was governor in Massachusets of all places, and I do not subscribe to or believe in anyones distorted view of individuals or history. To quote 212351st “that was then, this is now”.
Listen to the candidates, dem and Republican, the new media and the base will not let any of them get away with changes during this campaign, and the candidates know and understand that point.
I guess I was thinking more of the horse kind.
Fred ain’t Ron Paul, so he ain’t gonna please those people. BTW, Howard Baker wasn’t much of a leader, and Fred is a far different man than he. Fred is a leader. I disagree that he has nothing to offer fence sitters. Unlike most of the other candidates, he actually knows what the hell he’s talking about. Another impressive quality.
“More of your opinion, not necessarily shared by everyone.”
True, but it is shared by the MAJORITY of us CONSERVATIVES on FR as shown in the present FR poll.
Which GOP hopeful is the most viable and reliable all around conservative, ie., pro-life, family, gun, constitution, national defense/security, sovereignty, borders, small government, low taxes, etc.
Fred Thompson
45.3%
Duncan Hunter
24.4%
Ron Paul
11.5%
Mitt Romney
7.2%
Rudy Giuliani
4.1%
Alan Keyes
2.6%
John McCain
2.5%
Mike Huckabee
2.4%
Romney gained 6 points since the last CNN poll in Iowa, taken in mid December, with Huckabee dropping 5 points in the same time. Huckabee has lost ground "mostly among higher income Republicans and GOP's under 50 years old," said Holland.
That’s all you Mitt-haters have; even insulting the candidate’s mother.
Crawl back under your rock.
couldn’t have put that better myself. Consider that there’s a good reason he’s the MSM’s “chosen” Republican
presumptive nominee. And it’s both that he possesses that GWB side of him that tries to Out-Liberal the Liberals, while also going forward with a reasonable facsimile of a re-tooled “Religious Right” facade that appeals to some kind of idiot base or another.
What can I say except “The Big Loser” (s)
Democratic Governor Endorses Mike Huckabee
Instead we have conservatives lining up behind Mike Huckabee because he agrees with them on two issues - gay marriage and abortion - neither of which the president can do much about. And all the while they ignore his liberal history as governor of Arkansas. If Huckabee is a real conservative, explain this: Since he's running in the Republican primaries for president, don't expect Mike Huckabee to be advertising the strong endorsement he just got from Ted Strickland, Ohio's Democratic governor.
It seems Mr. Strickland, who typically racked up a 95% rating from the liberal Americans for Democratic Action during his 16 years in Congress, has discovered a kindred spirit in Mr. Huckabee. He told the Cincinnati Enquirer last Sunday that Mr. Huckabee is a "combination of conservative views in some ways, but very, almost liberal views in other ways." Mr. Strickland concluded: "Of all the Republican candidates, Mr. Huckabee would be my personal choice."
NOW,,, THERE SHOULD BE NOT DOUBT IN YOUR MIND....HUCKABEE IS LOVED BY DEMOCRATS.
God save us if he is actually nominated by the Republican party, or should I say "former" Republican party ..if that actually occurs.
YOUR CHOICE This OR This.
NEITHER IS A PRETTY PICTURE
Yeah,....Right...You convinced me.
"Saddle Me Up"
Stupid, greedy, and unethical only fly in DEMOCRAT candidates.
