Not Extended News. No Way.
So when did we add a Weather Topic?.....Cool.
Where’s the pictures of Paris & Britney?
fyi
I think this is a very good “Heads-Up” thread
why would The Mod say “nix nix” ,.. { jus’ axin’ }
Oh I see....thanks.
Unless there is a direct or immediate threat to life or property, weather threads belong in General/Chat/Weather.
I just think they are trying to change the traffic pattern,...they set up a GOP Club and I am inferring they want all the election posted articles to go there....the volume of stuff that gets posted is just enormous....and anything they can do to spread it out across the storage devices would help performance....for the overall system....
ROFL!
by the end of the week-end , this or another weather thread will be in BReaking if these storms deliver as suggested they might. ;-)
High winds expected in advance of storm

RENO, Nev. If you still have Christmas lights and decorations around the yard, the National Weather Service says you may want to take them down.
Strong winds are expected late Thursday and into Friday in front of a storm that is expected to bring several feet of snow to the Sierra and accumulations in the valleys.
Gusts to 60 miles an hour in the valleys of western Nevada are predicted.
In the Sierra, a winter storm watch has been issued for the Lake Tahoe region from Friday morning through Saturday. Forecasters say several feet of snow is anticipated.
In the Reno-Carson City area, the storm will start out as rain, with temperatures Friday in the 50s. But forecasters say temperatures will dive Friday night and Saturday, bringing snow to the valley floors.
Perhaps we could have a not-global-warming catagory.
BTW, I live in the high desert, at the bottom of what was once a lake. When it rains, it puddles.
Digging thru my archives...I find another SOCAL Weather ping list....
I think it would be kind of funny to see a house floating down the street with its Christmas lights ablaze....as long as it wasnt mine!
Exactly what I was thinking, NR.
Thanks for the ping, Ernesto..;^)
Batten down the hatches!!
We’ll have to see what happens all over , if we get major doses of rain, stuff floating down streets could be just for starters.. Looter Guy may be hitting the slopes this week-end..
Dallas said 3-4 inches of rain in “coastal areas”.. whoa.
If they are truly invoking 1996....I have heard several references....then JPL’s La Nina announcement last month is a load of hogwash.
