My hubby likes bagged salad greens, too, but I don’t-so as long as fresh romaine, watercress, etc is available he has to eat that-but he loves it when there is not a good selection at the market and I have to resort to the bagged crap.

I still have arugula, serrano peppers, herbs and one tomato plant growing and producing inside by the french doors. The cats have left them alone since Kitty boy rubbed and rolled onto a pepper plant just like he’d been doing with the dill, basil and mint-and ran around screaming his little orange head off and rolling on the rugs to get the smell and burn off him. He finally rolled in one of the litter boxes I’d just changed, and I guess the crystal thingees absorbed the pepper smell the same way they do cat waste, because he calmed down after that and I wiped him off with some waterless cat bath on a sponge. He and Yeti boy now walk cautiously around those plants...
