The article also points out what many drooling Patriot fans continue to deny: that their team is among the most despised in history. And that is not because of their "record" either. There have been many well-liked winning teams in NFL history, such as the 1972 Dolphins.
Finally, the article points out what a little baby boy linebacker Vrabel is. Mike "pile on" Vrabel is especially loved by a lot of nipplehead New England fans, who identfy with a guy who believes in cheating and getting something for nothing.
Why is this posted in the news section?
That game was not even close. Quit crying !!
Bondy has obviously “flipped” out, just like you. I am sure the Patriots practice leg whipping as they are pushed into the QB....and finally, do you know how many calls are missed on every play...get serious. You’re continual bashing is getting tiresome...get a life, or at least get a clue. You’re embarrassing yourself..!!!
How old are you, anyway?
If I had to guess, I would say probably 11 or 12. Am I close?
Yeah, leg whips never happen. Neither does holding. Neither does chop blocking. Neither does illegal hands to the face. Neither does horse collar tackling. Neither does illegal contact. Neither does running into the kicker. Neither does... do I really need to continue to point out examples of how lame the article and your post are?
Oh brother. What next? Belichick was seen in a Darth Vader mask during halftime?
Face NY fans, your media is already preparing you for a loss. The Giants will follow the Yankees down in flames.
Every pro game has a few illegal moves that get unnoticed by the refs. Get over it.
What Bellichick did as far as secretly recording the opposing teams signals is clearly illegal and unconscionable.
However, every player can choose on any play to commit a foul such as holding, pass interference, leg whipping, etc. knowing that there is a chance they will get away with it and a chance they will get caught.
If they get caught, the penalty is usually very hefty and deserved.
Vrabel did what a lot of player's do and got away with it. No biggie.
In order to win, teams have to overpower the opposition or risk losing on a technicality, lucky play, or bad call.
Dude, it’s only a football game, nothing but sports. Grown-ups making millions playing a game. Is this really life-and-death we’re talking about here? Is it necessary to get all obsessed over the Patriots? Personally I think the Giants have a good shot at an upset. They gave the Patriots a good run at the end of the year. You sound like one of the guys who been cut from junior varsity and is now getting “revenge” 20 years later (Cue cheesy 80s soundtrack and half-naked Phoebe Cates in background)
Other than Patriot fans, everybody likes to see big timber fall. - Tom
making excuses already?
I will root for the Pats. Those who hate them without a reason hate them because they remind them of their own failures. They see something beautiful and want to destroy it.
Cheatriots* fans being blind to the massive cheating. Should have had to Forfeit games for the taping scandal. or at least stripped of ALL their draft choices.
I saw the play and maybe I don’t understand what a leg whip is but it looked like Vrabel hit Rivers with his arm. Arm whip?
It's part of the game, and one should not excessively dwell on it unless one would like to be known as a sore loserhead.
And I hate to say it, but you really sound like you need personal professional help............soon..........
I’m definately taking the Jints plus 13 1/2, that’s way too many points considering the Pats haven’t blown anyone away lately.
I can only speak for myself, but this drooling Pats fan WANTS you to despise me and my team. Win or lose, I know that this has been a terrific season and that next year, they will reload and compete for the championship once again in 2008. Will you have moved out of your mom’s basement by then?
It was a nice play by Samuel, a nasty one by Vrabel. There was no flag, for some reason.
So a NY paper tries earlier in the article to infer that the play was illegal (it wasn't - maybe a missed call but that is a factor that can affect either team) and then later infer's, as quoted above, that that the refs were in on throwing the game. This article is a pathetic attempt to rile up NY Giants fans and players - what a joke.
BigJohn - you are the biggest conspiratorialist I have ever read on FR - sports or politics - and that is putting you at the top of a unique heap. When I saw the thread title I knew I would see your name. Everything, EVERYTHING related to the Patriots is a conspiracy or cheating not just this season but over the years. To be blunt - it's quite pathetic.
PS: Pats are 18-0 and they are going to be 19-0 in two weeks.
