Drudge was flashing "NOT PERFECT NY GIANTS TAKE SUPER BOWL LEAD" after the Giants scored their touchdown with less than a minute ago.
Granted, it might've been over by then, but either 1) Drudge is a psychic, or 2) there is a 10-minute delay in broadcasting that Drudge doesn't have, or 3) Drudge's staff simply exercised bad judgment.
I’m not Arlen. I’m a nuetral observer from the west coast, someone without a dog in the fight. The Pats got caught cheating and thus are cheaters. Is that worth holding hearings? Probably not. But that was not my decision.
I'm glad he lost.
Apparently they had no faith in their kicker.
Somehow, the Giants win tonight convinces me even more that the other underdog in this race is gonna win as well.
It ain’t over till it’s over! Once again, the press got it wrong.
GO MITT
Sounds like sour grapes to me!
NEW YORK GIANTS ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
YEAH MATT DRUDGE!
“Taking the Super Bowl lead” is not the same as “winning the Super Bowl.” It seems like a correct headline to me.
Headline-Wednesday Morning
“An in another major upset, Mitt Romney, the underdog, has won the GOP Nomination defeating front-runner John McCain”
|
Chalk this up as just one more act by an ignorant coach. He’s the main reason I don’t like my local team.
True, but if there were truth in advertising, it would be the Pontiac Lions, the Irving Cowboys, the East Rutherford Giants, the Foxboro Patriots, the soon to be leaving Bills, the can’t fill a stadium even with a playoff team Jaguars, the Miami Morons and the Atlanta Dog Killers.
Did he post that BEFORE the Giants touchdown?? If not, I don't understand. "The Giants take the lead" means just that. The Giants took the lead. At that point in the game, the Giants were leading the Patriots. There is nothing in that headline implying that the Giants had already won the game.
Exactly!
lol!
None of it matters, the New York Giants upset the New England Patriots 17-14, and now all those Patriophiles have to live with those “Perfect Season 19-0” T-shirts they printed up in anticipation of yet another (har har) Super Bowl trophy.
Looks good on ‘em.
18-1, the ‘72 Dolphins place in the history books is secure.
“Taking the Super Bowl lead is not the same as winning the Super Bowl. It seems like a correct headline to me.”
Nope... I posted the headline, which said “Not Perfect” before the line “Take Superbowl Lead”. It was clear that someone at Drudge.com was jumping the gun.
A-Rod, 2004.
The Giants aren’t perfect. They had loses this season. Again, the headline was correct. At least as you are presenting it here.
“....Pontiac Lions...”
Nope, not anymore. They play at Ford Field in Detroit, having moved out of the old Pontiac Silverdome.
Wanna buy a dome, cheap?
I took that as the “Perfect” Patriots versus the “Not Perfect” Giants. The Not Perfect Giants took the Super Bowl lead.
