The races have a built in naptime. When they race on the plate tracks I watch the first 50 laps, take a nap through the bulk of the race then watch the last 50 laps.

LOL! And the funny thing is...you know you didn't miss a thing during your nap! And if you did, they will repeat it endlessly on the Speed channel for the next 7 days.

I think they should lose the restrictor plate altogether. They run at far higher speeds here at Michigan (up to 210 and 212 mph top end) on a flatter track. The slingshot draft comes into play and makes a better race. The drivers can drive away from trouble in a way they can’t do on the plate tracks.
