I was BANNED from the Democratic Underground (DU) today.

I was banned for posting the following thread:

Subject: WOW!!! Sen. Obama is playing us like a fiddle!

Text: Sen. Obama's team set up this whole Race debacle from the get go, just so that he would have the stage set for this absolutely stirring speech on race relations. I have never seen the race card played so brilliantly in all the history of American politics. BRILLIANT!!!!

If the media gives this speech as much play as the racist Rev. Wright issue, and they will...he will find the new momentum he needs to secure the popular vote in the dem primary, no doubt. This man may even be our next POTUS, judging by the brilliant political savvy his team is displaying and his heaping helping of charisma, he is looking very very good!

Can any of you see this backfiring? I simply can not.

After being referred to as a "troll freeper," I wanted to join this forum as a liberal and see what it is you folks are all about. So, here I am, letting you conservatives know that there are liberals being banned by the [expletive deleted] from Liberal forums because we do NOT agree with the path Sen. Obama et al. have chosen. I am not the only one that has been banned for speaking out against these race card tactics.

Many of us are disgusted.

I'm sure it will not be long before I'm banned here too, but I will play by your rules until then.

The thing is, though, that as Americans we must be willing to defend the right of others to say and believe what they wish, even when they are spewing that which is most disagreeable.

It is possible to disavow an idea while still defending the right of (a jackass) to say it.

By 73, my parents had kicked me (and both sisters) out of the house and we were on our own. I was already in the military by then and had a decent paying job. I paid for my apartment, cars, food and everything else.

I did go back to the farm every free weekend and work for free, fixing fences, plowing the fields, hauling hay, etc. My only pay was getting to fish in the stock tanks.

The internet is a very large place and although there are alot of posters signed on here, in the vastness of the population, we account for less that .001%. Can one NOT be conservative unless they post at a site on the internet? My dad was probbly the most conservative man that ever lived, yet he died before this site was started. So he wasn't a conservative after all???

Seriously, it’s the hard work that made us who we are. I would rather have gone through hard times and learned from it, than spend my life waiting for someone else to “make it better”.

FWIW, my mother in law is the liberal's liberal. She even publiishes a liberal newsletter and joins every cause she can find.

She absolutely, positively will NOT vote for Hillary. She actively works in local races and has for years but will sit out the national election if Hillary is the nominee.

To know what I know about her political history means that this decision on her part is an absolute stunner.

LOL. If Obama set this up, he made a possible fatal mistake. He is plummeting in the polls. If he loses by bigger than expected numbers in PA and IN, he is going to have a very difficult time at the convention.
