Ad hominem is not a weakness of mine, so there should be no problem there. However, I will quickly call someone on poor reasoning and faulty supposition. This might seem like ad hominem to the one being slapped with reason, but...

FWIW, my mother in law is the liberal's liberal. She even publiishes a liberal newsletter and joins every cause she can find.

She absolutely, positively will NOT vote for Hillary. She actively works in local races and has for years but will sit out the national election if Hillary is the nominee.

To know what I know about her political history means that this decision on her part is an absolute stunner.

Welcome to FR but just know that YOU are the one who is going to be “slapped with reason”. It might hurt a first but you will be glad in the long run. There are lots of freepers here who were liberals first and then they *saw the light*.

Welcome to FR. If you write with facts and reason from evidence, you should be welcome here for a long time. Poster “LiberalLarry” has been here since 2001 and I often enjoy reading his posts because he is informative (usually) and thoughtful (usually) even if I may still disagree with him 95% of the time.

otoh, there is a bizarre insulting troll poster named “MurryMom” who is kept around FR as a kind of amusing house pet even though she virtually never makes an intelligent contribution to honest discussion. The mods allow her to keep us amused with her inanities.

I hope you will emulate more of the “LiberalLarry” model than the insulting “MurryMom” model — then you will likely be here as long as you still enjoy it, and you may even find it very worthwhile.
