To our neighbors, my wife, Nancy, and I don’t appear in the least unusual. To those in the quiet Oregon community where we live, we are viewed just as we are -- a happy couple deeply in love. Our desire to work hard, buy our first home, and start a family was nothing out of the ordinary. That is, until we decided that I would carry our child.
I am transgender, legally male, and legally married to Nancy. Unlike those in same-sex marriages, domestic partnerships, or civil unions, Nancy and I are afforded the more than 1,100 federal rights of marriage. Sterilization is not a requirement for sex reassignment, so I decided to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy but kept my reproductive rights. Wanting to have a biological child is neither a male nor female desire, but a human desire.

And how did she/he get pregnant with a female wife? I always thought it took a male and a female to make a baby. I must have missed something somewhere in one of my biology classes.
The Old Testament has a word for things like this. It’s a word we don’t like to use much anymore, because it’s not politically correct; it’s considered judgmental. But the word is handy when things like this happen. The word is “abomination.”
I have come to the conclusion that there is LITERALY no bounds as to what is an acceptable lifestyle for these people. Democrats applaud these freaks. Is there a point where they would say “no, thats wrong”? I don’t think there is.
Bottom line is, whatever this freak is, it is genetically female. Surgical butchering does not change that.
And the other one, the “wife”? What is it? Is is genetically male?
So, what you have is a pair of freaks that want to be the other gender? So they are still able to “cross breed”?
She is not a man; just surgically deformed woman.
That was my first thought, too. Obviously the mother/father isn't concerned, which tells me this preganancy is more about her/him, and making some sort of political statement, than about the baby, who should be a product of love.
Yeah, the comments at BoingBoing were almost as bizarre as the story itself.
This is a story from the Twilight Zone, an attack on logic and reality, of saying black is white and white is black.
