My turn to go "wow!"

One of the members of our Canadian sister site is a Ham, and when he showed me pictures of this new, tiny gear I was amazed.

Those racks of mine held an R-390a as prime receiver and a Collins 51-J4 as secondary, and they weighed a ton, and needed forced draft for cooling ( tubes! )...

I'm tempted to look in to this new stuff- but I'd probably have to get one of my teenaged relatives to explain how to operate it...

I have the 1103 with the Degen name on it, as given in the wiki. I generally find the long wire on the roof is superior in terms of signal strength (not surprising), but the active loop is definitely fun to play with and certainly will cut out the off-axis interference! I am not a ham, just play around.

I’ve got a Kaito 1102, works great and nice radio.

I like listening to radios and ham radio along with radio on wi-fi. And also CW.

Are you saying here your using your kaito 1103 connected to the computer, and also using an active loop for the 1103?. Are you using the computer for just audio?
