Few people are in the middle on Ann Coulter; most either love her or hate her, and usually their position has to do with ideology. Conservatives like Coulter's willingness to call things as she sees them, often at the expense of offending nearly everyone.
People also like her because she thumbs her nose at the left better than just about anyone else. She was also the most ardent defender of impeaching Bill Clinton for committing perjury. While Coulter didn't succeed in her attempts to get Willie and his cigar booted from the Oval Office, she did succeed in making herself a conservative hero.
It isn't her willingness to lambaste Clinton that currently puts her at the top of the list of conservative commentators, although that helped. It's her willingness to stay true to her conservative beliefs that makes her truly different than most.
As other conservative commentators try to convince the conservative base to support John McCain in his run for the presidency, Coulter continues her tongue-in-cheek support for Hillary Clinton with good reason since McCain's voting record, based on the research of the American Conservative Union, is abysmal.
With apologies to Ronald Reagan, conservatives and Ann Coulter didn't leave the Republican Party; the fact that McCain won the nomination proves the Republican Party left us.
Since the unparalleled success of Ronald Reagan and then the "Contract with America," the Republican Party has made a hard turn to the left and slowly pulled away from the conservative base. John McCain's nomination was the final straw for many conservative voters who refuse to support him regardless of the fallout in 2008. The simple fact is that John McCain isn't a conservative and isn't a champion of conservatism.

If Ann Coulter wasn’t considered hot, no one would give a damn about what she had to say.
Cheers!
Fine with me. I can write in Ann’s name as well as anyone else’s since I would NEVER vote for any of the 3 who are remaining in the race since none of them are fit to be CIC.
The rules!!
Ann Coulter ain’t the be-all and end-all of all things conservative. Too much like Carville in her presentation, for me anyway.
