Generally, professional historian = college professor = left wing socialist = hate any Republican and especially GW Bush.

That 1.9 percent are probably not professors.

In related news, 94% plus of “professional” historians are tenured Democrats and have ZERO credibility.

The sample is 109 “historians”, statistically even more useless than historians.

Moreover, as anyone with a shred of civic awareness will know, a sample of any group of academics or professors will automatically be a sampling of a left to hard-left to marxist sample, no matter what size.

The story is vacuousness wrapped in emptiness based on nothingness.

I would put him in the bottom five, but not worse than Carter.

I guess you fit right in with the academic idiots...anyone with any sense of history would not even begin to try and assess the greatness of a President while he is still in office.... A hundred years from now President Bush will probably be recognized as one of the Great Presidents along with Lincoln and Reagan.

We won't know for a few years how good BushII's presidency is.

But so far, I rank him as 3rd worst in my lifetime, behind Slick Willie and the worst president of the 20th century by far - James Earl Carter.

I wouldn't go that far, but bottom half fits.

Worst: 1. Franklin Pierce
2. Jimmy Carter
3. James Buchanan
4. Woodrow Wilson
5. Lyndon Baines Johnson

LOL. W is a one term president near the end of his second term, and he barely got a first term.

I don’t think the author of this story has much of a grasp on history (or math).

G. W. Bush is the 43 rd President so that would mean there are 42 other presidents.

Actually, Grover Cleveland was elected for two non-consecutive turns which are counted seperately, so there were only 41 other presidents.

It is pretty insignificant what 109 professional historians think. There are tens of thousands of them out there. The true history of this time won't be written until most of us are dust. I'm not afraid of what history will say about me, and neither are most of us on this site. I sure hope Bush isn't worrying about what historians say.

Now me... Bush should be listening to me. LOL
