stars win, in 4 OTs on a power play at 9:03
2-1
Great game, and I am not much of a hockey fan.
Danica won an indy car race in Japan last week..
It isn’t so much as saying things against Junior or other , or how others respond to it,, if folks want to go at it, take it OFFLINE.. Please don’t trash the thread.
There are better drivers out on the track than Junior, and a lot of aggressive young drivers, shrub being the best example of hanging it out over the edge, however, a guy should know his limits and when it involves using a fellow racer as a bumper car like in a game of carom, that’s when some folks might question where aggressive ends and stupid begins.
also, some folks just like to mash others in the face, that is not acceptable here, so take it or leave it. I’ll add ya on the ping list.
and God may have made us different but both sexes can still be pains in the arse (I’ll catch heck for that, watch!)
Thanks for the ride!
My brother loves the #20. As far as I am concerned, Tony is the most egregious offender. But, that is just my opinion!
Yup, quarter to 12 here.
Smoke is a unique duck. I’ll leave it at that. lol
FR Nascar race Thread road disclaimer..
------------
This thread is for fans of Nascar and was started to help Support Our Troops and have a regular place to watch and review Nascar activityyear-round.
It was started 6 years ago and intended to be a fun place for those that enjoy Nascar racing and allow them to have a place at FR where fans can gather on race day to follow along and discuss the race.
This is an all volunteer FR operation and takes no funds from anyone and has no Nascar or sponsor affiliation.
It was also started so our military members and families could also drop in and get info and recaps on race results and other goings on in Nascar.
It is NOT a political thread, at least not in off election years and posting of personal political views and rumors re: Nascar and/or drivers is highly discouraged and blatant attempts to stir up controversy will NOT be tolerated.
If you feel the urge building to let it rip or really have to taunt or get peed-off at someone over their driver's actions or such, Please Take it elsewhere or OFFLINE! I know folks say things in the heat of the moment, a simple apology usually does the trick or we can delete the post.
If you wish to bash, bang on or just say nasty things for the sake of stirring things up about teams and drivers, I recommend you NOT do it without realizing it throws the threads off kilter and I may have to Red Flag the thread and eject the stirrers.;-).
This is a race thread and we all usually have a good time doing the usual banter over the teams and such, just KEEP IT CIVIL!!!
If ya have to repeat your same 'arguments' 100 times over, Please Give us ALL a break!
Stuff happens on the track , what looks like one driver's fault ain't always the case, so be prudent before ya lambaste or make a comment that isn't well-thoughtout and respectful to all the thread occupants or is a clear jab or insult.
Posting of inappropriate pictures used in a taunting manner will also result in your post(s) being pulled. This is a family friendly thread, please keep that in mind. There are plenty of other threads to practice your witticisms or haf-witticisms as the case may be. If folks want to start there own race thread, be our guest, we have quite a few regulars that won't mind, I'm sure.
Please keep the thread on topic as much as possible during the race. We post the current race positions and discussion of what is happening in the race for those that may not have the TV in the same room as the computer. Or, in some instances some may not even have the viewing channel available on their cable.
Also, it seems a few feel like certain drivers get short-shrift while others get preferential treament on the threads. Big frickin' deal!!! Lighten up and Get over it already.
Thanks.. NR
HOW ABOUT THEM STARS?!?!?!?!?!
Not bad. Not bad at all!
LOL. Hey, it was late :o}
Oh yeah.. Im pooped. but it beats being pucked.
Getting back to four wheels and nerves of steel, BIG DAY FOR HILLARY
Our seats were in the new balcony. First time for us. What a view. We were higher that the track light poles. Could see downtown Richmond. The view of the track was outstanding. Its a lot like Dover. All the food, restrooms and beer is up there with you on an elevated concourse so you don't go back down until the race is over. Tickets were $110 each. Sellout was announced at the track by the RIR president. The flyover came right as us and the jets pealed apart above us. Parachute drop was canceled at the last minute because of high winds. And it was windy in the balcony as sun was setting. Couldn't eat peanuts because shells blowing on everyone. Wind calmed down after dark.
Very dull race through the first 135 laps. Then still dull until the big wreck. Waltrip being taken off the track was a pretty big deal. When Hamlin's tire started going down, that was about the most exciting racing I have ever seen. The Junior wreck left the crowd stunned like nothing I have seen.
As usual, we were home in 20 minutes after the burnout.
Did your Particular Friend enjoy the race? Or did he just stare at the gulls and pine about tall chick?
Posting the hockey scores started off as a joke, but as we found out, there are a few more combo hockey/race fans than I would have imagined.
Norm, you got your 7th game wish, they played two last night. ;)
She was dancing during this run with the tars still spinning as she crossed the finish line. A good day and John Force picked up #1000.
... seemed more than that.
60 minutes of game time
69 minutes of overtime
