Something like that. I have six younger siblings and while they never listened well to me I could usually direct their interest in useful patterns.
Think I'll go play in the yard for a while.
Now that's just silly. ;~)
Aww...they’re wittle *baby* guns...
Not altogether practical, I’m thinkin’. ;-) But awful cute.
Looks a bit lost!
I’m off to a birthday party for the youngest niece...don’t want to stay very long. I still want to try to get the mower started. :-\ If nothing else, if I get it going, I can mow tomorrow evening. It’s staying light late these days!
I guess you’d use that gun on somebody if you didn’t want to hurt them, just pi$$ them off, or make them laugh, right?
Looks like a little baby that got separated from Mama.
So much for a peaceful potter in theyard. Theneighbor seems to be logging his property today.
She may be a yearling... but she’s quite a ways away on the zoom. Those posts she’s next to are about 6 1/2 feet tall. Our little blacktail don’t get a whole lot bigger than that.
Afternoon - it’s connected for the moment ATT service will be out tomorrow as it’s in the DSL line/connection. We have been through tech support overseas and here. Must have finally ended up in the ‘send over tech’ box in their matrix. Arrival, tomorrow, sometime, hopefully. OB & LSA
Tech support....what fun!
I got the mower started....and the blade stayed on too. Kewl! I’m no longer the bum of the neighborhood.
*yawn*
Since it’s after 7 p.m., I’m trying to avoid taking a nap now. Luke had to be at church at 8 this morning for the kid’s production. Then we took Nana to lunch for her birthday. After that I was at choir rehearsal for two hours for the ~next~ CD project (which it totally unrelated to Christmas).
It was good for Nana to get out, but it was a chore. She’s no help at all now getting in or out of her chair or the car. After lunch it took my brother-in-law and I both to get her in her seat. Although if I’d been there alone and b-i-l hadn’t tried to help her first, I would’ve just lifted her in. I could tell at lunch she had no strength.
~sigh~
I got my mower started, too! Yay. I think. At least my new gas can can be poured without spilling all over me. That’s a good feature.
Got about two-thirds of the front and a third of the back done before I started feeling like my heart was going too fast, probably because I’ve had nothing to drink today but coffee and lots of it. So I’m still the bum of the neighborhood. I may or may not get back out there and finish tonight...
My excuse is that *maybe* another day of sun would make the tall grass in the back *slightly* less soggy. As it is, I was stopping every few minutes to clear the blade. It’s so wet, I was finding earthworms in the clippings.
I’m glad you were able to take Nana out for a bit, difficult as it was. It has to be rough for her, being away things so much, even though it’s the logical choice now.
Lots of birthdays this week! We celebrated the littlest niece’s today, and my sister’s is tomorrow. I forgot until a few days ago, of course. *sigh*
I have to wait up to a week to mow after it rains, cause every rain turns the backyard, even this small one, into a swamp.
‘Zat your mares squealing? ;-)
Don’t feel bad about that, none of my family (other than Talon of course) remembered my birthday at all.
That was the pony squealing because we went for a ride in the back forty and locked her in the front.
So we’ve been on the horses! A good shakedown ride... next weekend, the woods! (unless it’s raining of course)
