Skip to comments. The Hobbit Hole XXXVII - ...Down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed!
Posted on 09/25/2008 6:43:34 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I’m just dropping in to say, “Hi”!
It’s so cool to have posted on a Legendary Thread.
Good morning. are these threads focused on earth sheltered homes?
Hello! This one won’t become legendary till everyone finds it. Our last one disappeared suddenly yesterday and some of them aren’t real good about sudden changes or directions. :~)
Whew, I’m glad you got this one started. I was having severe withdrawals. Have you got a new Saddle Club Thread started yet?
Yesterday, ksen posted a thread about earth homes, but it might have been lost in the great "Wish there was an UNDO" crash of '08. ;~) If it doesn't come back, maybe he'll post it again.
Well, I don’t mind being “Pre-Ledgendary”. Good Luck with getting everyone here and a special HI to Corin.
(I am the envy of all I survey with the Homeschool bag I bought from you, Corin!)
No... but SC came back. FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread 12
Not that it doesn't need a new one, it does. I'll do that one a little later this morning maybe. :~)
I feel dizzy and nauseous from the horrible lack of Hobbit Hole.
No, wait, that’s morning sickness, never mind.
At breakfast? I thought the little one just didn’t like lunch.
What’s this? MMMmmm... I love that new-thread smell. :-)
It’s been easier this last week but today apparently breakfast didn’t settle right. I think I drank too much water with my food.
Just call it second-breakfast. :~)
We got evicted!
Heh heh heh...Well, Jen...I wonder if this will be the Hole the baby is born in? At the rate we’re posting lately, it may be!
Anyway, Good Morning, my dear old Hobbit Hole!
30-ish weeks is not overlong for a Hobbit Hole these days. I’m at ten weeks tomorrow.
We could update the logo with a new post of your belly every week if you like :~)
Um... no thanks...
It would just be a bit of fun. :~)
WooHoo! A shiny new thread! Yeah, I was having severe Hobbit Hole withdrawal symptoms late last night! Thanks for feeding our addiction!
Ah! New thread. Jen never tells me these things.
I got my Sarah Palin glasses! Cost me 45 bucks and are GREAT!
In other news, I have an S-shaped septum.
I got my McCain-Palin campaign signs and bling day before yesterday. I'm going to wait until we get back from our trip to put them in the front yard.
Cheap. But they’re great! I can see out of them perfectly!
It started *after* I got to work this morning, don’t blame me...
What does that mean? It sounds nasty.
I have no idea what that means, Bear!
Help help! We have someone using unfamiliar terms!
The ultimate solution is surgery to correct it, but he's not recommending that yet... he wants to try me out on a non-steroidal nasal spray first to see if that helps alleviate the symptoms.
I have to leave for work now, ugh.
I don’t think my pipes are connected right either, but I’ve never looked into why.
I hope the easiest solution works.
Now there’s a joke JohnRob would probably laugh at right now. Or not. Is that where you found it?
Heh, maybe I should have pinged him. No, a coworker sent it to me.
You should definitely post it to him. :~D
Is my room still available? I’d hate to have to run someone out...
That’s pretty amazing. I think you were one of the only ones to buy any of the homeschool stuff. I’ve taken down everything but my McCain Palin “Read My Lipstick” stuff right now.
And I’ve done over $2300 in gross sales in 3 weeks.
Oh we’ll always make room for you, Corin. :~)
Most of us homeschool moms don’t really have the bucks to spare on stuff. Palin supporters have more money to spend.
Besides, then I am envied more because I got one!!!
Hope the nasal spray works, Bear! When David was home last, he suggested doing a Neti-wash each day to clean out my sinuses. It works really well, even if I don’t remember to do it every day. It especially helps when the weather is really dry, like it is now, and when we start using the central heat, and the house gets so dry. It feels kinda funky because you pour water into one nostril and it comes out the other, but it sure does the trick!
I think that’s why he didn’t ping us.
I’m pretty sure I figured out the joke part...but I don’t unnerstand why...
So...Not Valerie is over on the Eastern Shore, and the van broke down. Can’t get the necessary part until tomorrow.
Which actually may be best since with the storm they’re talking about closing the bridge...
Parts is parts.
Riding in a barrel,
Under hill and over hill,
From the end of the bag
(though no bag went over me),
I have returned.
Hey, I had a half-liter of Coke in here. Whassup wit dat?!
Nebber mind. Good to be "home".
Fabulous. What kind of storm have you got coming? I haven’t been paying attention.
It’s the code that deletes, I think...John put in a drop table code, I think...and it caused all these problems. In the case of the cartoon, the parents named their kid something that would delete the student database when it was entered.
Did I get it right, ecurb?
