Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

woohoo.. 1st on new thread.. Hi all. I do lurk on occasion but have been pretty overwhelmed with a lot of "stuff" the past months.
In our paper was an article about Jackson being removed from the new movie yada yada.. but the big thing was how THIN he had gotten.. wow.. you here may have been posting pix along the way but I had not seen him since the academy awards & he was rather "full figured" at that time
Heavy winds /storm here as old man winter is knocking on our door

WooHoo! A new, shiny Christmas thread! I actually have a St. Nick in my collection with a blue robe who looks very much like that Gandalf in the doorway!
No can do a chat-view on the 19th. We have choir practice, the last one before Christmas. I'll pop in onto the chat thread when I get home, though, and can speed through the DVD to where y'all are at the time. Are we doing the Extended version, or the Theatrical?

Extended is the only version we have any more... I think we sent the theatricals to Iraq... or Afghanistan.
To: SuziQ
Newbie here. didn't' want to lose the thread, chat-view sounds fun, my daughter might really enjoy it, maybe I'll get her to sign up......
To: DollyCali
Hi there! Glad you dropped in for a visit. Come back from time to time. We'll be chatting about various and sundry things; maybe even about the LOTR books or movies!

Welcome to the Hobbit Hole :~)
If she'll really want to do the chat view... there's a process she'll have to do... we don't actually do the chat here, we do it in our Yahoo private group, in an actual Java chat room kind of format... it allows for fast, minute by minute chatting easier than a thread does...
We could get her all 'in' at the room if she's interested... it's kid safe, we're a pretty clean group, 'cept Corin. ;~)
To: Corin Stormhands
Haven't we talked about that already?
I was hoping we could discuss what is in lembas.

Just kidding. I have another hour plus to be here no matter what :P

Feel bad about not helping with the dishes, not not-posting ;-p
About a third of the way through the dishes. Taking a break because my fingers are getting waterlogged.

About a third of the way through the dishes. ...why I don't leave dishes overnight. Also attracts bugs.

I was writing all week. And we don't seem to get bugs. It could be the fact that it's about 8 degrees out right now.
