Hillary isn't going anywhere, yesterday notwithstanding

Yesterdays results notwithstanding, Hillary Clinton isn't going anywhere and is in this fight to the end. Is she a longshot at this point? You betcha. Is her back against the wall? Absolutely. HOWEVER, the internal "war" that is the nomination process for the Democratic Party is being waged on her part is now aiming for 2012 instead of this year.

Looking at it logically, IF Obama were to be elected this year, which is doubtful given his socialist outlook, his poor choice of advisors and friends, (Wright, Ayers et al) and the fact no one can be elected President without the South, he'd run as the incumbent in '12 meaning Hillary wouldn't get a shot until 2016. So how does she run in '12? Simple, make sure Obama doesn't get elected this year.

She and McCain have more in common than not and in my mind, they would work together, albeit behind the scenes, to ensure McCain is elected.

She is in it for the long haul (i.e. until the convention) to metaphorically bloody Obama as much as she can. The talk of her dropping out is bullocks. Her eye is on 2012.

Bank on it.

When I woke up this morning and heard the news, I wondered if Hillary would “pull a Romney” and back-out “graciously,” giving her a shot in four years if Obama goes down in flames.

you may be right.

the clintons are not human.

but, there’s a limit to how long the people that run the democrat party

want to see the clintons continuing to destroy their man.

The Clinton ‘12 plan will be to have Bill start campaigning for Obama, ensuring Obama loses this year.

I think that she will be too old (standards for women are different) and much more of an obsolete has-been when 2012 come along. I don't think that will happen for her.

But her opinion is probably different from mine. If she wants to run in 2012, then she wants a Republican to win in 2008. That much is simple. At this point, her campaign may be less about getting her the nomination and more about destroying Obama's chances in November. The Clinton's don't care about the party -- they're just maneuvering for their own benefit.

She’s not going till she and Bill pull all their remaining tricks: FBI files, horseheads in the beds of superdelegates...whatever it takes. The Clinton mafia won’t go without fighting until the bitter end.

Judging by the amount of love and support they have lost, I doubt the Clintons are going to even be considered by 2012. People are really sick of their crap, and it is only going to get worse for them.

This isn’t “operation chaos” this needs to be called “operation indulgence” she’s a Clinton. It’s the first time in her entire political career she has been served defeat and it doesn’t make any sense to her. How could something so right in her eyes suddenly go so wrong? This was her nomination and somewhere along the way Opera snuck into the race and really messed with the plan. It’s costing her millions and in her world of entitlement that just doesn’t happen. She was even able to buy, excuse me, win a grammy. Now when you are able to do that you know the world is yours for the taking hahahaha. So now we are down to Indulgence. Just Indulge the pathetic woman for a few more months and then send her packing back to the senate. I’ve never been a fan of dragging her along all these months once she lost this nomination but now I guess it is a little fun to watch the witch slowly melting so I guess I’ll indulge her a bit longer.

Amen! Let the skank hang around. There’s rumors that she would take the vice presedency...If that happens it will show that Obama has NO gonads....He talks about change, and here he is ready to team up with her and her rotten Husband...Also,Obama could find himself in a pine box just like Vince Foster...

This makes an assumption that McCain will actually campaign against Obama.

I agree with your analysis. I also predict that Al Gore will shortly endorse Obama. This will keep his record as an absolutely tone-deaf loser intact. It will also infuriate the Hillary-crowd which should also provide us with some really good pre-convention entertainment. I’m looking for some good-stuff on Al Gore as the Hillary blackmail files get opened.

Yours is a common analysis, especially the part about bumping the incumbent Obama in 2012. I challenge that, though, since Obama will also have a RAT Congress and possibly a filibuster-proof Senate if they win 60+ seats in November. The real reason no democRAT will be elected in 2012 is that the country will be so screwed up that a RAT couldn’t even run for dog catcher by then.

Why should she drop out? She’s got most of ‘conservative’ talk radio and FReepers 100% behind her.

... and the fact no one can be elected President without the South.

Nonsense. Kerry came within 50,000 votes of doing it in 2004. All Obama has to do is take all the states Kerry won plus Ohio and he's president. Not an impossible task.

Obama is never going to give Shrillary a VP shot. Michelle would sooner shoot her then let that happen.

When it comes to bitterness, even with winning Obama’s wife beats out Shrillary.

You are right, and it's a crying shame. Thankfully we the people of North Carolina, drove the stake home last night.

The media is finally admitting the obvious. Obama is the nominee. (This of course means that McCain is the 44th President.)
