I have a good friend that has owned an RX-320 for a couple years and seems pleased with it. He has made modifications to it as described on one of the web pages to improve low frequency response and I think he has also modified the crystal time base to better stabilize the frequency.

Nope not me, I'm still happy with my KWX-1 Collins RX/TX. ; - D

“Wow, I had no idea so many Freepers were hams!”

Freepers are almost without exception hams, self included.

I just use a Philips stereo with aux inputs for my record player. Only problem is I have to turn the stereo all the way up to hear it.

Though I would like a basic setup with a low-power power amp.

I'm still the proud owner of an operational Collins TCS-14 transmitter (AM) built in 1942 and a Central electronics 100V transmitter.

Of course for modern applications a Kenwood synthesized digital xciever is part of my messy mix of equipment.

Me included. Don't really operate much anymore - just keep an HT around for emergencies - but will probably get back to digital modes on HF one of these days.

Sorry, no reviews on the receiver...But for general purposes, hard to beat my ICOM 746.

For having a Collins radio!

I purchased a 1942 TCS 14 for $5.00 at a swap fest and it is in like new mint condition and fully operational. All I had to do was build a power supply for it and it has worked flawlessly. (not that I have a desire to rub salt into a wound...)/snicker
