VIROQUA, Wis. - A steady stream of vehicles pulled along the shoulder of the road to get a look at it: an enormous, hairy pig that apparently had been struck and killed by a vehicle.
Vernon County chief deputy Jim Hanson said a semi driver hit the 450- to 500-pound sow early Friday and apparently didn't have reportable damage.

Sounds like it might be a feral hog. We’re having a problem with them in southwestern Wisconsin. They’re not a native species but were imported some years back and allowed to go wild. They can get quite large and have very nasty tempers.
Don’t think cute little pink barnyard pig. Think 500-lb Arkansas razorback with a bad attitude.
