Here is video of police seizing guns from citizens of New Orleans after Katrina. While looters ran wild, cops were seizing guns from law abiding citizens. This video is unbelievable and really must be seen.

Think you have rights? Think again. This post may qualify as Vanity. If so, I am sorry. I am not a vanity poster. All should see this video from Glen Beck's CNN show from 7/2

I heard about this. How can the police there justify their actions? This only helps criminals because it disarms the average citizen.

They have to find mine to seize them.

“They have to find mine to seize them.”
Watch the video. They’d have found them.

The bulk are kept off property.

There were several of these videos I saw.
This is a lesson for those who are caught in a similar future situation.

Wow. Amazing and scary. Does the recent 2nd amendment ruling affect any of this?

That’s the problem you shouldn’t have to hide your weapons from the police. They have NO right entering your property without a search warrant. These searches and confiscations of private property were illegal and without merit and the City of New Orleans should pay through the Nose from the crimes its officers committed.

Let this be a lesson. If you are in the Right, especially in a situation like NOLA post Katrina, never surrender your arms.
Period.
No matter the cost...

This made me madder than just about anything I’ve ever seen. I’d have to shoot a cop who was acting like that.

Contrary to the hyperbolic rhetoric from the gun-grabbers, these images document that lawful firearms owners are lawful- that they respect government so much they do not use their weapons to resist unlawful seizure when done under the color of law.

They were seizing stuff from Wal-Mart too. Come on, it’s New Orleans. They’re all victims, they can’t help it.

True, you shouldnt have to hide your weapons from the police. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good idea to keep a few of them away from your normal travel routes.

IMHO, state legislatures should pass laws to make explicit that in such times of emergency, crooks who are trying to disarm the citizenry should be shot, regardless of uniform.
