Sen. Barack Obama clarified his position today on mental-health exceptions to late-term abortions, saying he supports such exceptions and that comments he made during a recent magazine interview shouldn't be interpreted as opposing them.

The mental health exception can be the pregnant woman stating she feels depressed or suicidal.
McCain not being for the murder of babies in this way is one of two reasons I am going to hold my nose and vote for the sell out. The other reason being that he stood up to an audience booing him and didn’t back down from his anti-gay marriage position. It’s all I have for the guy. That and him being a pilot in Vietnam as well as a POW. It takes someone as loathsome as Obama to make McCain the better of the two.

Yeah, I am not sure anything surpasses Obama’s unreported support of killing babies after birth.

Yeah, I was kind of proud of him for that. I love Ellen, and think she’s ridiculously funny, but even she seemed a little impressed that they just disagreed. He wasn’t in her face about it or put her down in any way.
The haloed one and his staff have remarkable political acumen. His first comment in the zine is widely circulated, on the blogs, as a message to anti abortion folks that he is not their enemy. Three days layer he issues a second statement, nullifying the first. This will placate his DU, NARAL, and Kos followers , but he leaves statement one out there. People get whichever message they want and he protects himself from the flip flop tag should the drive bys actually notice it. Genius! Hypocrisy and Arrogance, but still a work of political genius.
I swear, this guy makes John Kerry look like the epitome of stability. Honestly, he changes his words more than Clinton, Kerry and Gore combined.

No, I can’t remember whose show he was on. It was one of these ones where audience members take turns asking a candidate questions. It seemed like a liberal audience and he must of known so and was loudly booed when he held firm on his anti gay marriage position.
