American actress Eva Mendes, who had jetted off to Australia for the 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty festival, was irked when her risque appearance in a Calvin Klein fragrance ad was cut off for showing too much skin.
In the ad, Mendes could be seen naked and rolling about on a bed, which revealed too much to suit the conservative US audiences.
"I''m completely American, I was born and raised in America and I love it but I think we are too quick to censor nudity," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling fashion editor Jen Melocco.

Saw her in a Denzel Washington movie last night. It was pretty good, and she IS pretty. I’m so glad I’m a woman and don’t HAVE to see her naked to feel complete! ;)

I think the vast majority of American babies were fed with a different sort of nipple, and I think you can show those anywhere. ;)

I find that stat to be difficult to believe. Where did you get it? To my sadness, almost all of the new mothers I know either don’t breast feed at all, or do so for only a very short time (measured in weeks).

Statistics are from the National Center for Health Statistics, a part of the Center for Disease Control. You can google it, it’s the first site that pops up.
Doncha know that we men simply are unable to control ourselves in the presence of an exposed female nipple. We will at that point require having sex with 3 or 4 willing or unwilling women, we don't really care which.
Eva's got a major point, though. The exposed nipple means the commercial is a non-starter. We can, however, surfing basic cable on late Sunday afternoon, swing by SciFi showing Dawn of the Dead, in which one of the zombie's heads in literally blown off on screen.
It does say something (and I'm not sure what) about a culture that fears the appearance of the female nipple but has no issue with heads being blown off.
I don’t care enough to go to that much trouble if you can’t provide a url. All I can say is I suspect that stat refers to the number who are breastfed EVER AT ALL (ie, even a few days in the hospital) and that it’s self reporting. While I think breastfeeding even for a few days is better than nothing, it doesn’t make us much of a breastfeeding population.
However, I would LOVE to see most Moms do it. It has much to recommend it.
I also have been surprised at how few mothers to be I know who even consider having a childbirth without drugs. But, times change.
