My wife and I are having an argument. When she makes me a hamburger she insists on putting mayo on it. So we got into an argument over the proper condiments for hamburgers and hotdogs.
She insists on ketchup on her hotdogs. Mayo on her burgers. Mayo on hotdogs.
I believe ketchup has no business being on a dog (should be only some form of mustard) and hamburgers can get ketchup+mustard, but not mayo. Mayo is only for deli type sandwiches.
Opinions please.

When she makes me a hamburger she insists on putting mayo on it. Are you incapable of preparing your own food, dude?
I can't imagine how worried you are about the shake up on Wall Street if this has gotten your panties in a wad.

Ketchup and mustard on a dog for me...actually that sounds really good right now...and cheese plus either ketchup & mustard or a little mayo on a burger...bacon helps too.

Ketchup is the Devil’s own marinara. Don’t do it.

Mayo (real mayo) and mustard on dogs and burgers. Ketchup on anything but fries is nasty and I think illegal.

From your home page, you appear to be a young man. Take it from someone with 20+ years marital experience: if your wife says she likes horseradish on her scrambled eggs, then you say, “Wow, that sounds delish! Oops, late for work/the gym/my nap...”

Ketchup on hot dogs (favored by many rug rats) is an indication of a juvenile and unsophisticated palate.I think that explains why I like it...although I also require mustard.

No Mayo on either a hamburger or a hotdog. A Hamburger may have both ketchup and mustard. A hotdog may only have mustard. Both should have relish.
If you want to put mayo on something weird try Meatballs (in tomato sauce) and mayo. Very weird and very good.

Mayonnaise and ketchup are not to be put on a hot dog.
But, your wife is always going to right, regardless. Haven't you figured that out yet? :-P

Hot Dogs: Mustard, relish
Hamburgers (Bison Burgers): Mustard, ketchup, relish
when I was a young'n, I put mustard and ketchup and chips on my hot dogs... but I grew out of that

Don't use any hotdogs that have been stored at the Clinton's household.

Oh, puh-leeze. People should put on whatever condiments they like. Heck, both me and my brother put ketchup on macaroni and cheese.

Ketchup, Mustard (B'Tampte Yellow Deli mustard) and pickles for the burger.
For the dog, anything really, just hold the dog. Yech.

Hamburger: Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Ketchup and Potato Chips
Hot Dog: Ketchup, Mustard, Chopped Onions and Relish
Mayo on either is unsophisticated and not healthy for you!

My hamburger consists of a Miami onion roll, a slice of red onion, 6 slices of bacon, a 10oz burger, 2 slices of smoked English cheddar topped off with a roasted long hot pepper.
Hotdogs are, Hebrew National dinner franks with potato roll, topped iwth home made chilli sauce, jalapeno slices and a slice of jalapeno jack cheese.

We rarely use ketchup in our house. Its been replaced by Siracha hot sauce.

Hamburger=pickle and ketchup. Cheeseburger=mayo. Hot dog (or Brat)=mustard. Anything else is un-American.
