Just got back from my local Republican Party headquarters and they were discussing a rumor that Joe Biden was dropping out of the race. The speculation was that it was due to health.
Is this rumor circulating any where else?
Yes, his helicopter was forced down in Afghanistan. Another combat veteran, Hillary Clinton, is rumored to be up for second in command.
1. We need to start a counter-rumor that Biden's illness will also prevent him from returning to the Senate. We can't let them get away with the "health" excuse, and then let Biden return as if he only had a 24-hour headcold.
2. If Hillary takes over on Oct. 5, then Gov. Palin must immediately challenge her to a debate. Just because the Democrats swap candidates after the only scheduled VP debate doesn't mean that another one with a new Democrat VP candidate can't be scheduled. Simply use the same rules as was agreed to for the first debate, and pick an available site. Even a network TV studio would suffice.
3. Hammer home the reality that what was hailed as Obama's "first presidential decision" turned out to be very wrong.

The left is aware that its brand of socialism is a hard sell in many parts of the country. They know they have to have certain advantages and manipulate things in order to win. It isn't that big a stretch, but you have to have been around as long as I have and gotten as cynical as I have about their intentions and their greed for power to even think it.
I think they would stop at nothing, including scripting the whole DNC nomination plot made-for-TV so that it captures all the media attention.
One thing that could be said to be evidence... was the stage in Colorado. I believe that stage was meant to transpose the Berlin event to America (via the columns imagery.. bringing up the image of the Berlin speech.) I don't think Berlin worked like they expected it would. For one thing it became the subject of tons of negative comments on talk shows, and so its effect was neutralized. If they scripted this thing, they expected to bring the payoff from the Berlin speech to the American stage as a subconscious image by recreating a likeness to the Berlin background. Crazy? No doubt. But it wouldn't surprise me. Nothing these people do surprises me anymore.
Oh, does Biden only accept debates where he knows all of the questions in advance?

It says right here Hillary isn't going to join. There simply isn't ANY upside for her. It also says right here that she can look into a mirror. She does NOT want to be compared in ANY way to Palin before she has to...and it isn't necessary this year.
She may do all she can to undermine Obama, but she has no interest in joining him.

She wants the Presidency most of all. If she wants to run in 2012 Obama must loose in 2008.
Obama loosing is her plan but what ever she does to pursue that goal must be through surrogates so that she does not alienate the African-American voting block.

I had a great time being a hippie while going to college. I demonstrated being very idealistically liberal at the time. the only thing I never demonstrated was against the Vietnam War cause I was raised very anti-communist and pro-military.( that sure was a puzzle to my friends.ha.)
then I became more and more conservative and had a David Horowitz like conversion.

I believe that Obama is hoping that Biden can just hang on until the election. Hussein doesn’t want anyone being his vice president. It is just another necessary evil he must endure to reach the presidency.
If BO wins, Biden, after an appropriate time frame, will vanish behind the walls of the White House. A lot of people will be “thrown under the bus” and the real players allied to Obama will emerge.
Hilly isn’t going to be one of those players.
When are the first absentee ballots going out?
