Hope I'm weong, but I think McCAin is finished. If he can't hold Colorado and/or Virginia, there's no way he can win. The chances of him flipping Michigan and/or Pennsylvania is pretty slim. We're screwed.
It’s not over. Watch the VP debate on Thursday and the next McCain/Obama debate before reaching such a dire conclusion.
Pull yourself together, you’re scaring the women.
Oh, don’t say that on a Monday morning! Have faith, my FRiend. Surely there can’t be that many idiots on voting day. I’m not counting the dead voters, though.
And the horses.
You are Weong!
I am not sure it is over, but McCain needs a good week and Obama needs a really bad one.
I was weong once. I got better
It is Sept. 29.
People are just starting to pay attention.
While the economy is very bad (somehow an Obama strength), our apparent economic weakness I’m betting will prompt some of the more insance international players to do some foolish things.
In short, people will realize that we need an experienced adult at the helm. I see McCain by margins more comfortable than Bush.
Sheesh! How do you have any idea what’s going to happen at this point?
No, he's a Chinesewannabe.....
Plus I have a feeling something big is gonna happen in October. Something good.
For gawds sake man, if you’re going to post a one sentence vanity at least make sure you spell all the words correctly.
I think your wight.
Snap out of it.
It’s far from over.
Start sending these N.Y. Post articles about Obama’s involvement with ACORN to everyone you know.........
Ladies and gentlemen...BEHOLD! The birth of a new FReeperism! This is hugh and series!
Or I could be weong....sigh. I like cheese.
Take the black cloud from your head or just jump in front of a train.
When mac chose to not expose the fannie/freddie core problem of Johnson & Raines and their continued relationship with nobama as well as how bwaney frank, dodd, chuck-you schumer, et al are just as guilty, it demonstrates mac's refusal to tackle the problem. He chose to offend his "friends across the aisle".
Sigh. Good Bye America.....
Pennsylvania is in play, despite the cesspool that is Philly. Partially because Rendell will not be helping out Obama like he would help Hillary.
I think the Zero is finished, and the rats in congress are not as safe as they think.
Where you moving to?
How uplifting! While it’s discouraging at this stage, let’s not give up. Just a couple weeks ago, McCain looked like almost a sure thing in winning the White House and now he’s behind by a few points in the polls, but all is not lost - by any stretch.
Consider the following:
(1) Where has Obama padded his lead? Polls this week have shown McCain holding solid leads in southern states like Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky amid all the financial trouble (all 3 of those states voted for Bill Clinton twice). If Obama is mainly just adding to his New York and California leads and only moderately adding to his leads elsewhere, he’s not doing very well. The stupid Daily Kos released a poll done by Research 2000 that found in both of Florida’s 13th and 18th congressional districts, McCain was doing as well or BETTER than President Bush did in 2004, suggesting McCain is still ahead in Florida.
(2) How accurate are the polls, considering Obama’s race? The polls have been pretty much off in almost most of the recent elections from 1996 onwards, if not by small margins.
(3) There’s still more than a month of campaigning. Senator McCain is not to be underestimated.
That said, I’m also concerned about the direction this race is going, but my faith is still there for a McCain win.
WNY: “Hope I’m weong ...”
I’m normally not a spelling ninny, but DAMx!
Most of the Right hasn't ever heard of Alinsky, but - thanks to 0bama and his friends - we're starting to read his stuff.
We’ve been screwed for a long time now. But it’s good you finally realize it.
I hope you’re not basing your woes on poll numbers...
If I remember correctly, GW was much farther behind at this time in 2004....
keep the faith bud :)
I like sucking bright-colored lollipops and making my tongue turn different hues.
ROFL — holding belly.
Well, I'm in Ohio...so maybe Alaska? Or Floriduh?
mccain simply refuses to engage and expose "his friends". I guess we shouldn't be surprised but I had hopes he would see reality after "his friends" in the MSM began attacking him and sliming Sarah.
If STUPID Americans vote for such a LIGHT-WEIGHT and a MARXIST to boot, then our country is beyond screwed....it is OVER....never to come back.....and with our history of ABORTIONS, I think God has drawn back the cloak of grace that HE has bestowed on this country.
You girly man. Get some backbone and keep fighting..one bad week of polls and the doomsayers are out in force.
Sounds like some DU pansies too me.
But then, I'm watching to see what he does, rather than what he says. He's been standing with the House Republicans. For he to have brought this up during the debate WOULD have encouraged a public panic. It would have been truly vacuous of him had he done what you suggest.
I think I better find out how to do that...after I shower.

“...Bill Clinton on Thursday told ABCs Chris Cuomo that Democrats for years have been resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ...
Wight or weong we will soon cee.
Over, did you say OVER? Nothing is over until we decide it is! was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?
If it’s the polls that scare you...quit reading the polls.
We’re 5 weeks out, lots can happen.
Hillary, early on in the primary was written off (not great analogy because she did lose to 0), but my point is she was behind in some polls by 13 points in the NH primary, and she won it.
I don’t know whether to believe the polls or not, but I do know that during the primaries Barry overpolled, so I don’t put a lot of stock in them.
It’s up to McCain (and the Republicans) at this point. They have to stand up and make the Dems own their problems. So far, IMHO, everybody on our side has been too timid to call a spade a spade (and that’s not a racist remark, LOL.)
The MSM is desperately trying to shut this down now — that’s what’s getting to you. Agitprop.
He's not just scaring the chicks.
IMHO, it’s time to be concerned, but it’s not time to head for the lifeboats. 0bama has benefited greatly from the (false) perception that the bailout is due to “Bush-McCain policies.” He also held it together in the first debate, enough that coming in second didn’t hurt him.
And yet, for all that, it’s only a 5-6 point gap nationally, and closer that that in some of the battleground states that are now leaning 0bama. It won’t be easy, but those numbers can be moved, IMHO. I think the following 3 things are key:
-McCain’s got to drive home the truth behind the Fannie/Freddie mess and the nature of the bailout. Bill Clinton has given him a helping hand by pointing out Congressional Democrats blocked reforms during his own administration. McCain needs to run with that.
-McCain also has to start nailing 0bama on the specifics of his spending plans. There’s plenty of material there than can and should scare the dickens out of the taxpayers. Exposing the sham of 0bama’s “middle-class tax cut” alone ought to swing some voters.
-Finally, McCain needs to redouble his efforts to attack on the energy issue, and Sarah Palin needs to be the tip of the spear. She’s got more experience and knowledge on this issue than anyone else on either ticket.
Sheesh give Mac a day to breathe. I have great faith that he will pull another Macattack this week or next. :D
Think good thoughts - like an October strike against Iran.
BTW instead of handwringing we should read and pass this around.
