As Chicago Cubs Ping List master, I want us to have a live thread for every Cubs game this October, as the Cubs continue to RECREATE '08--1908!!

Now today I'm posting the live thread a little early, because I have some work responsibilities coming up around the start of the game. And after that (depending on how much of the game is left) I may head to a bar that carries the game, so I can watch it. (We're getting cable installed at our house on Friday.) But please, carry on here with or without me!

Nah. I’m an Astros fan. We stunk it up this year ... but I always enjoy watching the Cubs derail in the playoffs. Padres and Steve Garvey. Santo and the Black Cat. Marlins and the Mark Prior/Steve Bartman meltdown. They always find a new and creative way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I just saw a priest sprinkling holy water on the dugout at Wrigley Field. He had a bunch of greens (Probably herbs) that he was dipping in water and sprinkling the dugout.

I guess he's trying to get rid of the Billy Goat curse.
