So what was the big deal about Fred Thompson appearing as an actor on a “non-political” TV show Law & Order? Remember they said he would have to quit the show and all episodes he appears in pulled from the line up? If this did not happen, the other candidates would have to be given equal time. how can I get out of my 18 month agreement with dish, I want directTV anyway, it was way better. It had the Military Channel and I miss it.

We will be axing Dish in about 2 weeks.

Eh, he probably just rented it out for the few weeks from now until the election - people and organisations can rent out channels for a certain amount of time. If anyone had a big digital cable or dish package during the Olympics (I didn’t, but was visiting a relative who did) you might have noticed that NBC had suddenly added something like 5 or 6 channels that showed nothing but the Olympic events that weren’t getting broadcast on any of their other affiliates. Obviously, they had no use for these channels before or after the Olympics, so they only existed for just over 2 weeks, then the channels went back into nameless, unlisted, dead-air oblivion. It’s pretty much the same thing here, and if McCain (or his supporters) felt like coughing up the cash, he could have his own TV channel too.
