Caught on camera: The world's deepest-dwelling fish five miles under the ocean's surface

British scientists have filmed a species of fish said to be the deepest-dwelling ocean animal ever captured on camera. ...the ghostly white Hadal snail fish off Japan’s east coast at a depth of 7,700m....

Incredible: The snail fish survive in total darkness
at a depth where the pressure is equivalent to 1,600 elephants standing
on the roof of a Mini

...The hadal snailfish...are found below 3.7 miles...in total darkness, near-freezing temperatures and immense water pressure.

They feed on the thousands of tiny shrimp-like creatures that scavenge the carcasses of dead fish and detritus reaching the ocean floor.

keep in mind the pressure at that depth. The fish are seriously compressed. When brought to the surface they expand. If you eat them on the bottom, by the time you surface, you may never neetd to eat again.

I'm sick of these crazy Metric units.

So I'm guessing they can't photograph the shrimp that ALSO dwell at this depth.

Funny you should mention. For a limited time, you get a free Crunchy Frog with your order of Exploding Hadal. Don’t forget to tip your waitress!
