VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- She's only 12 years old, but Ashleigh Jones is feeling the heat of this election year.
That’s because the seventh grader at New Smyrna Beach Middle School was called a racist by classmates (Video: MyFoxOrlando) for wearing a T-shirt in support of VP candidate Sarah Palin, Orlando FOX affiliate WOFL reported.
Jones is volunteering at the Republican Headquarters in New Smyrna Beach. The Palin t-shirt was a gift from her fellow volunteers.
But when she wore it to school she learned just how tough politics can be.
"Some of the students were calling me racist because I was Caucasian," she said. "I wanted the Caucasian man to win. And I told them that’s not true. It’s my freedom of speech, it’s my opinion."
Jones' parents said they're not mad at the school; they just want everyone -- including their daughter -- to voice their opinions constructively, WOFL reported.

The sadest thing is that 40 year old, intelligent liberals are acting the same way as these 12 year olds.
If Obama is elected it will become a hate crime to disagree or protest.

We really need uniforms for all schools. In school, I never wore a Reagan tee shirt even though I thought he was great...Ok I went to Catholic school. lol. Seriously to see kids wearing Obama tee shirts make me sick. Obviously there parents are putting them up to it. Who are these Obama mania kids thinking they are influencing? Other seventh graders. lol. I think there are other ways to express your support for a candidate.

And that's precisely what they've done. Over the years I've read about people being called "racists" for supporting across-the-board tax cuts, drilling at ANWR, 2nd Amendment rights, etc. The word was no meaning now.

Political correctness has ALWAYS been about supressing dissent and criminalizing conservativism. It never was about “tolerance” for “diversity”.
No—the 40 year olds have been warped over time and will be advocating that the girl get gang raped and then sent to re-education camp. The next time we see her, she’ll have that lobotomized look on her face and will be waiving an Obama banner.

Obviously she would have been praised if she had worn an “Obama for President” t shirt, and would not have been called racist.
