When I was in jr. high school there was a program on a local L.A. channel called Million Dollar Movie. They played one movie every day for a week, with double showings on Saturday and Sunday. I got a strep throat or something noxious one time and got to stay home for a whole week. I watched “Spirit of St. Louis” about eight times on Million Dollar Movie. So now if I see or hear the word ‘Lindbergh,’ I immediately see Jimmy Stewart attaching a compact mirror to the inside of his cockpit with chewing gum. I am programmed.
