One blogging group in particular is the PUMAs.
What would happen if a power-hungry President were to play tricks with the draft? Could he use the draft as an excuse to:
1. Use draftees for slave labor [in the name of 'civil service']?
2. Put adults from age 18 to 41 into reeducation camps?
These are the kinds of things that PUMAs and other bloggers fear.
What first fueled this concern was Michelle Obama in a California speech:
"Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zone . . . Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual - uninvolved, uninformed."

This is going to be our new First Lady? She's eager for her husband to force us to work [his way] and to be informed [his way]. It certainly sounds like slave labor and reeducation. What, pray tell, did her husband tell her? What other mechanism would a president Obama have than the draft itself? It sounds far fetched, but since Obama is hiding the details, what are we left to conjecture?
The clincher was Joe Biden's ominous warning:
1. A manufactured crisis within six months
2. Solutions that will cause Obama's poll ratings to plummet.
"Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Here's a little more of what Biden said:
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”
That was the last straw for some PUMAs. They smell a rat. I can't blame them. Guess who said this?
"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis..." -- David Rockefeller.
PUMAs are beginning to to take notice of a Obama comment on military service at Columbia: “If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some.” They also noticed that Obama wants females included in the draft.
Then there was this: "I will call on a new generation of Americans to join our military.... I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their efforts connected to a common purpose."

They fear Obama having the power of the draft. Should we?

And guess what name pops up? Bill Ayers. Ayers shifted from terrorism to radical indoctrination of youth through education. [That's professor material in many of today's universities.]
Bill Ayers has been practicing how to radicalize students for a long time now. It's clearly a passion of his.
Maybe these dots don't connect, but more people all the time are beginning to think they do.

Yes, and without the media’s help we won’t be able to get this information out before the election. If the college students knew about the DRAFT, in no way would they vote for Obama. It has been packaged verbally along with the volunteer civilian nation service plan, so they aren’t realizing that all 18-42 yr olds will be going to war. Think of it, we are at war, and he can institute that immediately if he so desires...Then it’s a matter of training the 10-18 yr olds..you are right.
Imagine all students being required to donate their time doing something to "save the planet," for example. I can picture the young left gleefully going right along with it.
But, who knows? I just hope we won't have the opportunity to find out.
I can see that. For about two weekends as long as they don't have to lift anything heavy or get dirty. I wouldn't want to be the bureaucrat that tells them it's for two years, you get room and board and a 20% discount to the minor college of your choice. If there's an opening. If not it's our choice. Here's your 0bama Youth Corps T-Shirt, we're out of all sizes but small. Sorry.
And by the way, we will deploy you in some difficult areas, but that’s part of what it means to be an American and to serve and to sacrifice...

If he wasn’t getting a free ride from the media a lot of young people, who “will” be affected by his plans would be paying attention to this and running to vote for McCain. The real crime of this election is the media.
All they are hearing is: we are going to pay for your college education.. little do they know it means they HAVE to serve in the military or one of Obama’s work camps first.

This is an extension of the Lefty concept of MANDATORY "volunteer service" for high school graduation requirement.
Mandatory and volunteer have opposite connotations.
Yep a 100 hrs a year doesn’t sound like much for the $4000 toward your degree until you realize there are only 5 business days a week and 52 weeks a year...so every 10 mo in school means you give up at least 10 hrs a mo, or 2.5 hrs a week..Now you use that money for college, but it’s income that changes whether you can get a GRANT from state or not, and Pell grant has restrictions also.
Please don’t tell the people of “infanticide” and “euthonism” that.

I think it was Medved today that noted all the UN treaties that have laid dormant just waiting for Obama.
We will face UN taxes, UN laws, UN controls, UN armies and UN corruption.

You all are over thinking this. Just look to history and you’ll see the exact same things used.

In Obama’s version only the brown shirts will have the guns. They’ll be happy to recruit our children as informants.

IMO it’ll make 9/11 look small.
