I have a friend who is talking about how socialism "works." She needs to be taken down a peg or two but I don't know where to start. Any suggestions?

Ludwig Von Mises........Socialism.......It is a long, hard to read (translated from German) book that destroys the economic basis for socialism. Von Mises would probably argue today that our economy is already lurching towards socialism because of the gov’t ever increasing involvement in the economy.....He was a big gold standard guy and was suspicious of paper money.

Very scary! We are not in the stage of destabilization ( 2 to 5 years).
The speaker emphasizes the importance of schools. Wow! Our schools ( even the private ones) are nearly entirely in the control of the Marxists and their Useful Idiots.
I can think of a least 50 people who need to see this video,...but...sadly, they are the very people who this speaker states will **refuse** to believe black and white evidence.

This is the destabilization and crisis stage. We have already passed that demoralization stage.
Did you notice that the process begins with demoralization. He specifically specified that it takes 15 to 20 years to educate a new generation.
Why are conservatives like frogs in a pot of hot water? We should be organizing private voucher foundations and giving grants to conservative teachers who are willing to open conservative private schools.
The speaker was very plain about the solution: Education of our children true American values.

If she reads it, I recommend The Venona Papers and Charen's Useful Idiots as a followup.
I also support many here in recommending Hayek, but he is a bit hard to read IMHO.

I’m paraphrasing Walter Williams, but you could ask her:
1. Does she believe that she is entitled to keep what she earns?
2. Does she believe that she is entitled to what others have earned?
Her answers to these questions will tell you whether pursuing a conversation is worth your time and effort.
