I was just wondering, what are some of the favorite Freeper movies out there which honor American veterans?
Here's a quick list of a few of my favorites. I don't think you can go wrong watching any of these today.
- Saving Private Ryan
- Glory
- Midway
- We Were Soldiers
- Black Hawk Down
So what are your favorites?

Band of Brothers, all tenhours, PLUS (especially) the interviews of the men that are the actual subject of the movie.
Watched Saving Private Ryan with my kids Monday night, they loved it, and were scared as hell by it, and still want to join the military. Tough chicks!

Patton was terrific. Also: “The Bridges at Toko-Ri,” starring William Holden. The Korean War from an aircraft carrier aviator’s perspective.

I used to watch a lot of WWII movies with my dad late at night. I love The Patriot too, and Braveheart - even though it is not an American movie the last scene with Gibson yelling “FREEDOM!” gets me every time.
