Transcript of Sarah Palin on CNN's "Larry King Live"
TIME ^ | today | self

Posted on 11/12/2008 9:40:45 PM PST by Snurple

KING: All right. Let's do a little retrospective. Should you have not done the Katie Couric interview?

PALIN: Sure, I should have done the Katie Couric interview.

KING: Should have done it?

PALIN: Her questions were fair -- I should have done it, yes. And her questions were fair. Obviously being a bit annoyed with some of the questions, my annoyance shows through. And I am who I am, though, and I call it like I see it. And some of those questions, you know, regarding what do I read up in Alaska, were to me a bit irrelevant. And my annoyance at those questions showed through.

But there was nothing off-base, unfair about it. Certainly I should have done the interview. And to attribute I think that interview to any kind of negativity in the campaign or a downfall in the campaign, I think it's ridiculous. I wish that there would be -- would have been perhaps more dilution in terms of that interview being one of many, many.

I wish I could have done more interviews along the trail. And in retrospect, in hindsight, I wish I would had more opportunities or that we would have seized more opportunities to speak more…

Governor Palin's handlers in the McCain campaign lost the election, plain and simple.

Well they sure didn't do much for old fiddly fart McLame.

it took Sarah Palin to get me to watch Larry King for the first time in 10 years. She’s still great. He’s still a putz.

re: “learn about governing”

Ah, Katie-pie, that is the advice you should be giving most publicly to your dear Obamessiah, who has never held an executive position in his life, but you and your fellow Mediascum were not concerned about his total lack of “experience.”

That is the advice you should be giving to bloviating Joe Biden (not that he is likely to play a real role in the Obambi administration), since Biden also has no executive experience, and has been wrong on just about every major issue of the past 35 years.

Most of all, Katie, keep your “advice” to yourself, since YOU are the one who most needs advice, as in how to save your pathetic dying Mediascum career.

I think so too. She's nowhere near her prime! She is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

It's all God's plan.

Absolutely. I am enjoying watching Bill O'Reilly go from admonishing Governor Palin for not coming on his show, to being in a snit at her because she hasn't appeared on his show, to begging Greta on the radio to please ask Palin to come on his show.

What a knob.

There is no other politician in this country as unique as Sarah Palin. This grand lady transcends and rises above the infighting, trans-party rivalry, and immature pettiness from the media because she is doing nothing in her political career for self-advancement, or to feed her ego. She does so because she cares, she loves her country with all her heart. Yet her country is not her first love, that duty goes to God.

I already have placed a *Sarah Palin 2012* sign in my front yard. I'm hoping to become a delegate to the next G.O.P. convention. Whether it's four or twelve years, or more, it will be a sincere pleasure and indeed an honor to help her reach the White House in any small way I can.

Thomas Jefferson and Ronald Reagan would have loved Sarah Palin. We need to each do all we can to move her to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Sorry ‘bout that, post wasn’t showing up

You’ve nothing to apologize for.
"The lady has brains and guts, cant wait until 2012!" --- Magnificent!

Remember when the little snip (Couric) treated George H.W. Bush with disrespect? She’s a major lib and loves “gotcha” remarks and questions.

I like the guy though. Cajun Style! I wouldn’t mind if all democrats were like him instead of the liberal-turds. We need balance after all.

At any rate, his political analysis is always astute and he agreed with Ari Fleicher’s sentiment that Palin needs to increase her foreign policy chops through a think tank and some writing.

I wasn’t old enough to understand the age of Reagan, but I remember the media calling him a dolt when he had a huge paper trail that showed how deeply and intimately he thought about conservatism and governance.

Sarah Palin could do worse than to follow in those sage footsteps.

This thread is loaded with "Go Sarah" sentiments, that's well earned and needed, I sincerely hope that the Governor hits FR often enough to know that she is mightily appreciated.

What we need to do next [I apologize for raising it here], is to identify and encourage all of the other really good potential candidates we have on the right.

Sarah Palin is at the top of the list but it is going to take a larger cadre of strong people to give impetus to the kind of change we actually need.

Maybe the next bumper sticker should read "Dole / Bush / McCain - Never Again!"

Agreed - and another thing - this is more to do with governing after winning (I’m an optimist again), but we’ve got to develop better ways of grooming future cabinet officers, WH senior staff, etc. I look at some/many of the Bush apptmts. and I’m underwhelmed - THIS is the best we can get out of 300 million people?

Not to say that a lot of the Democrat appointees aren’t worse......

Perhaps, your pettiness will subside when you see O’Rielly take on the Fairness Doctrine.

My bumper sticker says:

DON'T BLAME ME COMRADE, I VOTED FOR McCAIN / PALIN

God forgive me, I love pissing off Obamunists.

Upon meeting an Obamunist, my new greeting is:

It's a glorious day Comrade!

This woman has the worst grammar on the planet.  It actually hurts to read what she says.  I don't have a problem with her concepts, in fact I like what she's trying to say... it is just the way she says it.  She makes GWB sound like William F Buckley.

Here's one paragraph. "Kind of a double standard, Larry, because I have never heard, still, the other ticket have been asked who is doing their makeup before they go up on stage, you know? Who is making sure that their tie is straight and ready to head out there to do a speech. The other ticket have been asked????   When does a tie get ready to head out there and do a speech?

Yes, reading her words and hearing her words are two different things.

The good news is, most Americans don’t get their news from a written source.
