OBAMA ADMITS HE WAS BRITISH CITIZEN AT BIRTH - AS SUCH OBAMA IS NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN OF US

OBAMA ADMITS HE WAS A BRITISH CITIZEN "AT BIRTH" - AS SUCH, OBAMA IS NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES

Barack Obama's official web site, Fight The Smears, admits he was a British Citizen at birth. At the very bottom of the section of his web site that shows an alleged official Certification Of Live Birth, the web site lists the following information and link thereto: FactCheck.org Clarifies Barack’s Citizenship

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

That is a direct admission Barack Obama was a British citizen "at birth".

"Assuming he was born in Hawaii, yes."

A fact that is apparently still not in evidence.

When “conservatives” no longer care about the constitution, the nation is gone.

One of the most pathetic comments I’ve seen is a FReeper calling it a constitutional technicality and the best way to protect the constitution is to let it slide. I wonder what other “technicalities” they would be willing to let slide? Maybe the 2nd amendment, or the 1st, since it would be a good way to silence us so we don’t embarrass their cowardly butts.

Letting it slide is how Roger Calero got his name on the ballot in several states despite being a previously deported non resident alien. Granted he had no chance of winning but if he did, would we let it slide?

“As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr....”

Isn’t this referring to his father?

no admission here.

This thing is in the works... no need to over-sell it.
Wait for some real news about it.

That's not entirely true. In Kenya, the law does say a citizen can only be Kenyan and nothing else. Oboma had to deny his American citizenship after the age of 18. That's the law there.

BUT......

If he had a friend or relative in the government, he's given a pass and still remains a citizen. Odinga, the president of Kenya (who Oboma campaigned for) is Obomas cousin.

A president elect with duo citizenship is unconstitutional because he/she has duo allegiances.

AND......

Oboma would have to take an oath of citizenship in the United States to become a citizen the same way Immigrants from Mexico have to if he were not a natural born a citizen.

Well, I’m not sure this is an admission of anything, since it’s a comment on Fight the Smears linking to FactCheck.org, and Obama could argue that his handlers or his pals at FactCheck got it wrong.

But it still leaves us with the UNDENIABLE FACT that Obama refuses to produce his real birth certificate.

He should not be recognized as the constitutionally legitimate President of the United States until he produces real, hard, properly certified evidence of natural born citizenship. There are too many doubts here to let him off the hook. Let’s see the original vault certificate, a current COLB duly released by the Hawaii authorities, and records from the three universities he attended showing what he said his citizenship was when he applied to their programs. Also his passport records.

All of this would certainly be demanded by the press if he were a Republican. Hundreds of pages of National Guard records were not enough for Bush. Five hundred pages of medical records were not enough for McCain. But clinton, Obama, and Biden never released their basic medical records, and nothing is said.

Well, that is arguable. But proof of natural born citizenship when grave doubts have been legitimately raised must be insisted on if he is to assume the presidency. WHAT IS SO SECRET ABOUT A BIRTH CERTIFICATE? Everyone is obliged to show it in order to get a passport or a driver’s license, or to receive a security clearance, or to enter the military.

There is plenty of evidence that Obama’s COLBs posted on the net, and more recently his certificate of registration for the draft, are crude forgeries. That is even more reason wny he must not be sworn into office until he has coughed up undeniable proof that he is qualified. And that doesn’t mean just another fake COLB produced on-line the day before the inauguration.

Hawaii became a state in 1959. He was born in Hawaii in 1961. That makes him a natural born citizen, regardless of his father's citizenship.

There's no proof he was actually born in Hawaii. There's more proof he was born in Kenya. That's what all the law suits are about. He refuses to show any documents pertaining to his birth records.

That's the catch here.

This has already been decided. Anyone born on a military base to American parents, as was McCain, is deemed to be born on American soil, and thus would be considered “natural born citizens.”

Obama’s grandmother alleges he was born in Kenya- not on a military base.

Finally-someone with a brain. We should oppose Obama, but lets not be distracted by this nonsense.

Of course, if Obama had not been born in U.S. territory and only his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time, then he did not meet the then-current criteria for being a natural born citizen. If later he did manage to acquire citizenship, he would have been only a naturalized citizen and, hence, ineligible for the office of the presidency. Against his website's claims that a forged certificate of live birth at the Daily KOS was the real thing, there is his grandmother's and half-brother and sister's claim that they were present at his birth in Kenya. In addition, he has done nothing to demonstrate his U.S. birth and has resisted court challenges to do so (on the basis of the info resulting from such a disclosure being "extremely embarrassing" both to him and to the DNC).

What if he is hiding a real birthdate?? Like maybe he was born in 1958? That would make his mother a younger teen , but still possible.

This from another poster: “What I don’t understand, however, is that we know his mother was an American citizen. According to federal law, aren’t children of American citizens considered natural born citizens if born in another country?”
Not true if one parent was not a US citizen. Here is from the Department of State.

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child’s birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.

She did not live in the US for 5 years after the age of 14 before he was born. If he was born overseas, not only would he not have “natural born” citizenship, he would not have US citizenship.

It seems like everybody is missing the author’s main point: ONLY the people living at the time the Constitution was adopted could hold dual american/british citizenship and run for president. After that generation, american-only born citizens are the only ones who can become presidents, therefore excluding B. Hussein Obama!

You and others on this thread that are dismissing the post HAVE NOT EVEN READ IT! Now, GO READ THE ARTICLE. It is not about WHERE he was born at all! It is about the admission that he was BRITISH at birth due to Obama Sr. nationality. There is British law governing Obama Sr. children's status.

Now for crying out loud! Stop the inane posts and educate yourselves!

People, the argument here is that his dual citizenship at birth (admitted by the Obama campaign) is in conflict with his being a “natural-born citizen.”

This issue was discussed and dismissed prior to the election. It does not say in the Constitution that you cannot have dual citizenship. It may be questionable, but it’s not disqualifying.

This is all very murky and unprecedented; it will take an 0bama presidency to set the precedent for the future. It seems to me if something was going to be done, it would have happened by now. The powers that be know the real story and the rest of us will remain clueless.

OTOH, I have a coworker who is convinced that until this reaches a mainstream frenzy, 0bama will do nothing - and then when he can’t ignore it anymore he’ll pull out the necessary confirmed documentation, point the finger at us and put us back into our respective corner. The idea is to keep damaging us over and over again so that we don’t gain speed in 2010 or 2012.

And further - you might be surprised at how many simply don’t care about the real story, as long as 0bama’s intentions are good. Judging by recent conversations, I suspect it’s more than any of us rule-followers might imagine. It’s certainly been an eye-opening election.

You’re kidding right? Any person born in America -Honolulu is an American city- is an America. Honolulu is in Hawaii.

This entire issue is whether he was born in Hawaii and not Kenya. There's more proof he was from Kenya than there is proof he was born in Hawaii. This entire post doesn't answer anything. He refuses to show proof he was born here. 12 lawsuits are pending right now, so why doesn't he just show his birth records and get all this behind him? Is it because he can't?

(Geeze. Where have you been?)

Not quite goes away.............the Indonesian citizenship is still a problem. He needs naturalization papers showing he is at least a naturalized citizen and not an illegal alien. He gave up his citizenship on adoption in Indonesia. He still would not be eligible for the Presidency.
