I believe the real issue is that his Kenyan grandmother has said she witnessed his birth in Kenya. That is what needs to be disproved, and why people are asking to see his birth certificate.
Even if he was born to an American mother in Kenya, he would not be a “natural born citizen” as required to be a president by the US Constitution. A “citizen”, yes, but not a “natural born citizen.”
I was taught in high school that a natural-born citizen was someone who was a citizen from the moment of birth. That would make him eligible if he was born to an American mother, would it not?
If what you say is true, McCain would be ineligible because he was born in Panama.
Have you, or anyone else around here, heard a recording of the grandmother say that? Seen a transcript of her story? Have any details on the when and where she related this story? Have any details, or any proof whatosever, that she actually said what you claim she said? Anything at all?
What “needs” to happen is a reporter (FOX?) or a GOP Senator or staffer goes to Kenya, interviews or deposes the granny, has her show them where Obama was born (the exact spot, the room) and have her tell her tale right there, in his birth room.
Then we’d get some action on this.
