I got in a political argument last night with a woman who hated McCain because Dick Cheney shot a hunting buddy and then made that friend apologize to him(that was the gist of it). I told her she should try to educate herself on some of the issues instead of getting her political information from the Daily Show. She then claimed to be a news junkie. However, when I mentioned what was going on in Illinois, she had no idea what I was talking about. Is this case not all over the news? Could she really possibly have “missed” it? I suspect she’s just a mind-boggling idiot (I think I told her that a few times too— I was not on my best behaviour. Oops.).

"Oh, it's just some silly case about some politician in Illinois, I think. Doesn't have anything to do with me. I'm gonna switch the channel. Let's talk about something else."
