There was no doubt about Obama winning Time's Person of the Year after he won the election. However, ponder this: If Governor Palin had somehow saved McCain from himself and was elected Vice President, would she have been Person of the Year or would Obama still have won it? Or maybe they would have had a joint Candidates People of the Year to avoid making a decision.

POTY is not an honor. It is given to the person who had the largest impact on the news in any given year.

Not a bad article, but I laughed at this: "It was enough to make you grateful for Obama's near total lack of sentimentality and emotional transparency. We don't care how he feels; we care what he thinks and what he does."
As if we actually know what he thinks or will do!

Gawd, how I miss watching her take the fight to 0bama. Once she broke free from her mishandlers from the McLame camp, she was on fire every day.

Thanks for posting. It is indeed a good read. And surprisingly nonpartisan for Time.

Palin Pingers
Isn't she pretty? Palin is a runner up for People's "Person of the year". YAY! Great article, would recomend to read.
Also Palin had some issues this week with the FAA and Japanese airplanes were not being able to land due to personal shortages. The flights are worth $4 million in business for Fairbanks
Lastly, Palin spoke about the seven percent cut she want to do spending in Alaska.

Folks, don't be too mad at Time. Any
other year and it would have had to have been Sarah.
But let's remember something here -- a black man ran for president and WON (at least that's what the numbers say: discuss alternative viewpoints at your leisure), that trumps the little lady who could but didn't quite make it to VP
Now if McCainPalin had won and they still picked Obama, then we'd all have reason to be upset.
(Some of you still have reason to be upset, but not all of us.)
